BMR Autowerkes :: E9X M3 Tuning

Hi all,

had a few M3s come through the workshop in the past few weeks and wanted to share some of the work we've done.. we've fine tuned a custom flash for the E9X M3 and it's putting out great gains

Tuning and Exhaust pricing below. If you are keen on a package get in touch and we will certainly look after you.

Naturally, Peter in the workshop can help you out with all your servicing on your M3 aswell using only the best aftermarket or genuine parts.

www.bmraw.com
(02) 9648 3366

Tuning from $1,795
This particular vehicle was an otherwise stock 08 manual with a low 20,000km on the clock.

Stock: 238.2rwkw
Tuned: 271.5rwkw
Gain: 33.3rwkw

Method of testing was a baseline dyno, tune was uploaded, then dyno'd again straight away. Ideally the tune would have 'bedded in' to show slightly higher results, but there's a chance for more inconsistencies arising when taking off and putting on the dyno again. There is a very nice peak gain of 33rwkw, but you can also see the car pulling harder from much lower in the mid range along with an appreciated increase in torque.

Optional features of the tune:
- Rev limit raise
- Cold start delete
- O2 delete

Exhausts
Innotech Performance Exhaust pricing.. all systems come standard with their renowned remote control module featuring on, off and auto modes as well as polished tips.

Valvetronic Mufflers only: $3,795
Catless Front Pipes, X Pipe, Valvetronic Mufflers: $6,295
High Flow Cat Front Pipe, X pipe, Valvetronic Mufflers: $6,699

Optional extras include titanium tips, matte black tips, diamond black tips and a few other choices for $385 extra

Here's a soundclip we prepared earlier, E93 M3 has high flow cat front pipes, X pipe and valvetronic mufflers

If you've made it this far and want to keep reading, here is a small write up on our website on 2 M3s we had in recently: http://www.bmraw.com/bmw-m3-e9x/

That's more gain than what you would get with primary cat deletes. Then again real world and dyno numbers are two different things. Nevertheless impressive numbers.

Yes the one that got 271 rwkw was an otherwise stock manual m3.

Yep we, and customers, have been very impressed by these latest gen tunes. The tune reflashes the stock ECU, but there's benefits to be had by running it on the dyno after to check everything. There's possibility for me/us to come over to Perth to do it if a few people were interested

So how's this tune different from others and putting out very impressive numbers? Everyone, who have done the tune are rating 20k maximum gain without primary cats. It's very interesting that the numbers produced are with cats intact. Interesting to hear a little bit more without giving too much trade secrets out.

It's pretty amazing that a stock 335i stage 1 Cobb tune can Dyno more that a stock m3 but with heaps more torque very low down.

You probably don't know differences between Turbo engines to NA. Nevermind.

Godammit jim I'm a doctor not an engineer!
I had the pleasure of doing laps around eastern creek in the m4 this week and that car described in one word: brutal. I see a F83 in my future.

Here's another example we just finished... the stock dyno on this was particularly high.. especially for a car with 100k+ kms on it.. it may have had a tune on it previously but we can't be certain. regardless there were good gains all throughout the rev range and the customer is very happy with it

E92 DCT
Front cat delete
Stock airbox / stock x pipe / stock muffler

As for how the tune differs from others, I can't really tell without seeing other tunes.. Naturally, fueling and timing is adjusted and we also pay particular attention to the VANOS.

Here's an M3 we did last week with a full Innotech Performance Exhaust with replacement high flow cats. Gained 11rwkw.

Stock dyno: 244.0kw atw
IPE Front Pipes with high flow cats, X pipe and valvetronic mufflers: 255.0kw atw

Dyno sheet:

Most importantly, sound clip
