Care to post the original?

I am always curious as to how much PP goes into some of these awesome photos, or if its all about the lens filters and lighting.

Awesome shot!

Sure. I didn't use any filters for these shots. I had 2 off-camera flashes along with the help of the lights that were already mounted on the walls. I'm still very much an amateur at lighting and do a lot of experimentation to get it looking decent. I go through a lot of post processing to get the exact look I want. But this is what all photography goes through in the professional world of imaging. I learned a little about product photography post processing when I worked for Oakley. Definitely not enough to do it professionally, but I'm learning more with each shoot. Here's the original unedited shot from the camera:

With that said, getting the lighting right definitely makes or breaks a photo. I'm just an amateur playing around for the most part. I just happen to know my way around photoshop and have a fairly decent sense for color.

I could remove the reflections without too much issue, but these photos need to be semi-realistic for their intended purpose. I know it makes more sense to do that when the cars in a more open area, but won't it look too fake when reflections are expected (like in a tightly enclosed area like these shots)?

Wow! I am a huge fan of your photos. You have definitely inspired me to try to learn post processing. You're a pro.

Very nice pics, and I thought you may be using Filters but I guess not, then I figured you were using some sort of remote flash and reflectors. I am very new to photography but I am throwing myself into it 100%.

What equip did you use for this as far as camera and lens and settings?

I have a T2i and just one good L lens the 70-200 F4 IS. I am looking to dump theT2i since it does not have a fast enough AF system in it.

Great photos. Thanks for sharing the original too. It just helps speak to your post-processing skills.

+1 for experimenting; keep 'em coming.

I used a 5D MKII and my trusty 16-35mm lens. Shot mostly around F5-F8 firing 2 remote flashes (alongside the lighting already in the shop). The AF system in the 5D isn't the greatest either. It only has 1 cross sensor. But I haven't found it to be an issue shooting cars that don't move.

Ya the 5D is not the greatest in the AF area. I have been toying with getting a 7D for that reason and that I want to shoot moving targets or even birds sitting in a tree which for some reason sends my T2i for a loop most of the time. I am trying to hold off and wait to hear the official specs of the 5D mk III though. It may be all the camera I will need if they decide to put the 19 point cross section AF in it from the 7D.
