Question about BMW's extended maintenance
Does anyone know if the BMW's extended maintenance purchased with a car can be transferred to a similar car but a new model year if it has not been used? e.g. from a 2011 X6M (still under original warranty) to a 2012 X6M (also still under warranty)?

Not 100% sure but I would seriously doubt it, the package is usually tied to the car. Ask your dealer if you can cancel the ext. maint. on the old car and get a pro-rated refund which you can then apply to the new car...

Looks like it sticks with the car:
http://www.bmwusa.com/mpdisclaimer I think you're SOL if you trade it/sell it. Only thing you could do would be to cancel it and take the pro-rated refund, and use that to buy another extended maintenance plan (personally I think they're a waste of money, and you can get burned pretty easily as you are now learning).
