Got a quick question for you guys. Has anyone tried to organize a ///M meet in the area? I'm still fairly new to the forum and have yet to see something go down. I know the Dallas and Austin guys seem to have a pretty good following. There seems to be a lot of ///M spotting going on. I know about Urban Speed and some of the others in the area but I was just curious if this particular group has done anything.......................Phil

**Update**......a couple of us have decided to meet up on Sat 4/23 at the Five Guys Burgers on 59 and Hwy 6 around 2pm. The parking lot on the side should be empty. If you can make it add your name to the thread.............Phil

I think the last one was about a year ago when Shady was visiting Houston from Dallas. There was also a mini meet of sorts at C&C in Uptown Park. It's been quiet since then but I'd be interested in meeting other fellow M3 owners, too. Anyone else interested?

I recommend joining the BMW CCA.
The Houston Chapter is very active with Meets, Autocross, Fun-Runs and other activities.
It's not just ///M's, though.
There's an Autocross this Sunday up at the Houston Police Academy.
Non-members are welcome!

I'd like to see all the ///M's come out and play. Really want to hear some of the aftermarket exhausts in person.

Yep! Transferrred the plates from my '96 M3 (now running down at Road Atlanta) to my new 2011. Sunday will be the first AX for the new M3.

There will be at least nine M3's running Sunday, along with a couple of M Coupes, Mini's, a Dodge Viper, and several others - most with at least some performance mod's!

Y'all come out and see some great cars, and show off your own!

I've checkout the Houston chapters calendar.....don't see much action beside C&C, auto X, and board meetings. There's a occasional drive somewhere but that's all I ever see. I guess this thread was aimed at this particular group of enthusiast because of all the modding around here and appreciation for this car. I think it would be cool to get a group of ///M3's together for some tech talk and hangout. And no I'm not snubbing the Houston chapter. So, I guess the big question would be, Where and when?.......Phil

That's cool - totally understand. We do tech talks too, by the way.
... and we're up to 11 M3's and 3 M Coupes at Sunday's event so far out of the 33 entries. Many are modified.

Brian, at this point I'm just throwing the idea out there. If there's enough interest I'll definitely keep you posted. Right now there only seems to be 3 or 4 showing interest. It's still early so we'll see what happens........Phil
