Anyone going to make THIS event?

Hope to see a few of you guys out there.

Not for me. I stopped doing Hooked On Driving since they make you sit through a bunch of classrooms for the beginner group. Took all the fun out of it. I guess they would probably let me run in B group now, though, but who knows.

Isn't that the same for most clubs? I mean assuming you are a beginner.

Nope. I've run with 3 clubs and only HOD required actual classrooms. And it's after every session, so it's constant.

Personally, I'd recommend PBOC or PDG. HOD is a well run operation though, and if it's first time, then the driver will probably have a great time, I did.

Ah ok. Yeah that would get annoying but I guess if you look at it more of what an HPDE is really supposed to be vs an open track day then I guess it has value to it. Especially for people who don't know about the theoretical part of it all.

I did my first track track day earlier this month with PDG and it's the only group I've had exposure to as a spectator prior to that.

The guy running PDG used to run HOD, from what I've been told.

If you understand what an apex is, you will probably hate HOD and all the classroom sessions.

Consider PBOC as well. I've done multiple events with them. If you are interested, link up with Foreign Affairs in Pompano. The owner, Bob, is also the president of PBOC and a great guy. They offer track side services for a charge as well as a tent/drinks/snacks free for their customers regardless if you use their track side services.
