Audi Q5

I was needing a four door family car with a new baby on the way, I am keeping my M3 so it was something mainly for the missus but I will drive it occasionally. Took the 2 litre diesel for a test drive and didn't like it at all, was very sluggish so asked to have a look at the petrol version which was a lot better drive and I was quite happy with it.

The wait for a brand new one made to order is Oct/Nov which was too long a wait. Luckily there was one that is about a month away that someone had pulled out of which I am able to get pretty soon. Metallic Black with sat nav and sunroof.

I was able to crunch the salesman pretty hard and got quite a good deal so I have gone ahead with the order. Also had a look at the X3 and a few other cars but prefered the Audi over them.

Whats everyones thoughts on the Audi Q5?

My wife drives our Q5 and really likes it. It's a 2010 Premium Plus S Line with the V6. Plenty of power (for her, LOL) and hauls our two little ones and their/our gear just fine. We've had zero problems with it. It handles very well for its class and the fit and finish on it is excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a Q5 at all. We've also had great service at our local dealer. Hope that helps.

I would wait for the RS Q5, but if you are in a hurry the one you selected is pretty good.

You don't have in Australia the 3 litre diesel Q5?

I haven't heard anything about the RS version but yeah I was wanting something I could get right away.
In Australia there are 4 options for the Q5: 2 or 3 litre petrol, 2 or 3 litre diesel. I will hardly be driving it and my missus isn't much of a driver so the V6 3 litre would have been a waste.

There are some rumours about RS Q5 based on Audi registering the RS Q5 trade mark.
