how do you insure a Super Car(exotics)?

Call me stupid, but I just realized most major insurance companies do not list super-car categories(ferraris, aston martins, etc). Only thing I see is Audi R8 on the list but that is about it.

My question is, how do those car owners insure their car? I read something online regarding how you have to "bargain" with insurance companies and work out a deal. That sounds extremely stupid and unfair.

Anyone knows?

Im guessing you would have to call in and get a custom quote since there are many more factors in insuring a exotic.
We are not talking 30k now 300k.

300 a month? doesnt seem bad at all, when I had my Evo 9, I was quoted 6k for 6 months. I was 18 back than with 1 accident and a speeding ticket, I changed my address so I could drive the car without being in the insurance and still be covered incase anything happen lol. 300 a month for a car worth 200+k doesnt seem bad at all.

But we also have to factor in many of those exotic owner have multiple vehicles, and drive them probably once a week for a leisure cruise. Not a daily commuter. As well as the age, garage, occupation, driving history, etc

Putting mileage restrictions, driver restrictions, and all that hoopla also helps bring down the costs plenty.

while it may not be listed on the site, doesnt mean the company wont insure it, usually you have to call.

another thing is that a lot of exotic owners dont necessarily use the major car insurance companies. instead, companies like chubb are used which specialize in luxury insurance for boats, planes, expensive cars, and other expensive toys

My Porsche C4s is basically the same as my other vehicles. 660/year including a 10% surcharge for power to weight ratio.

I'm a State Farm agent. We, as well as most major insurers, cover exotics. I have all of the info loaded for a Lambo Murcielago LP670 or a Rolls Royce Phantom Drophead in my system.
So how do you insure it? You call me (your agent) and you say, "Hey dude, bought a Ferrari 599! Put on some coverage! You need a test drive? Why?"

..etc

lol. Hell I'll let you test drive if you save me couple grand a year.

On a serious side note, are you really an insurance agent?
"roughly" how much are we looking at for a Aston Martin Vantage convertible? I don't need exact amount, just like an estimate with a "mild" driving record and age 25+.

Sure am, fully licensed in Oregon & Washington and I insure a large portion of the motorcycle and car community up here. What would you call a "mild" driving record? How's your credit & claims history?

Really tough to give a rough estimate these days since rates are primarily tied to the driver more than the car. Would love to check things out for you though, PM me
