Recommendation for Dallas Dealer

In mid May I will be relocating to Dallas for my job and I am concerned about finding a good dealer, mainly a good service department. A quick search didn't yield much but I basically concluded that Classic BMW has good reviews. What do you all think? What BMW dealer in Dallas has the best service department?

I am mainly concerned because my car is catless and has a tune. I have a great relationship with my dealer here in Kansas and they take care of me and don't stir up any issues because of my tune or catless x-pipe. I am looking to develop the same sort of relationship once in Dallas.

Thank you for your recommendations guys. I apologize if this has been discussed many times before, I couldn't find what I was looking for in a search.

Thanks.

They all suck. At classic you are a number and they will prob lose your keys for a couple of days. The last time I tried that place, the service rep told me not to call him because he won't answer (while the phone is ringing in the background). He then said that he's supposed to call each client twice a day, but he will call no one because he has no time. So between not getting informed of when your car is done and them losing your keys, you are sure to have a great time there.

My best luck with service has been BMW of Dallas, though it hasn't been flawless. My service with them for my m3, the service person was 15 mins late and then she (grandma with a bad smoking habit) told me that my car didnt have this DCT that those are only on diesels and she didn't think m3s were diesels. I walked out.

Since then, the service has been ok, but they did clip my fender on some rubber bumper leaving a residue that I had to buff off.

Did I mention they all suck? Moritz doesn't fix anything, I had my wife's car there 3 times for a simple light bulb replacement only to have them keep it over the weekend twice with no fixes. I eventually went to BMW of Dallas and they fixed it in 20 mins (warranty issue).

As for autobahn, just search autobahn fort worth and m5. That's all you need to know.

I appreciate your input. It sounds like I may have some challenges to find a dealer that I am happy with. To be honest my local dealer in Kansas isn't the best either, however my SA is a good friend of mine and that helps a lot.

This sucks that BMW service is the way it is. For the money spent on this car, I expect nothing short of exceptional customer service. Too bad BMWNA does not feel the same way.

Again, thank you for the help.

I got referred to SA Joe Capobianco at Classic (referred by BMW Dallas). Only one interaction so far, but it was excellent.

Eurosport Plano and Autoscope are good for non-warranty work.

Did you check here? (search for Dallas once you're on the thread itself).

I do a lot of work for Autobahn over in Fort Worth and have talked to a lot of very happy customers that have done business there. Might be worth the 30 minute drive over there to get great service.

Thank you for the help! I have heard Classic is good from other sources, and I believe they even have an M Specialist - Pat Arnold. I will keep Joe in mind as well.

I have also heard positive reviews about Autoscope and Eurosport. Do you have any experience with either of them?

I did not even think of that! I found one Dallas review in that thread. Thanks!

I would be willing to drive even longer distances than that for truly excellent service. Thank you for the insight and I will keep Autobahn in mind.

Welcome to Dallas! +1 for Pat Arnold@Classic and another +1 for Chris@ Autoscope White Rock location. Another local forum to check out if you have not done so yet is DFW Auto Club. Many M3 owners with modifications and a good wealth of knowledge.

Thank you for your input! I was actually referred to DFW Auto Club by another member and I just recently joined. So far I am enjoying the community over there. See you around!
