If were talking "stand the test of time" I would go with hellrot, and im not even a fan of red. My choice would be Avus blue or Techno Violet!

Sophisto is significantly darking than Sgraph. IMHO, it doesn't warrant the $5k though.
Yeah if it were a $1500 premium or something a little more reasonable then I would do it but that $5000 price tag means Im paying to get something that will definitively be recognized as an individual color. Which is why Im having a hard time with Hellrot/Sophisto even though I love the way they look.

If you have to get an individual color i'd vote for Santorini blue but personally I would not pay the extra money to get an individual color.

I'd like the individual color for awhile but quickly get sick of it.

On the other hand Alpine White and Space Gray would NEVER get old.

True, I've always been a fan of Mineral White and Interlagos Blue too.

I wonder how we can find out how many are being made?

I know of at least 5 that have come into various dealers around the country, including one that is for sale pre-owned (after 3000 miles) here in Vegas. Between you, me and Sean Alexander that would be around 8 with only 5 months of production left.

don't spend 5 grand on an individual color to differentiate yourself among the cars on this forum. I would only spend that money if it were for a color I was dying to have, and the fact that you're polling this group of strangers to help you with color choice tells me that's not the case with you. therefore, I chose for you to save the $5k.

My Santorini convictions have been strong for over a year now. However, the $5k price tag definitely tests your commitment. I made this thread to help pass the time as an outlet of my excitement. I wanted to entertain the idea of other colors and am interested in the opinions of fellow enthusiasts. In the end, I believe Santorini will win out...after all, it is the color I voted for in my own poll

If you're taking a vote, that means you're looking to sell this car, not keep it near and dear to yourself.

If you were truly buying it for yourself, there would be no vote. It's an individual choice. What I like is certainly different than what you like and vice versa.

Just food for thought.

Santorini Blue, but you can't go wrong with white. White is probably the easiest to keep clean too.

I'd pick Hellrot

Holding off on the custom color might not be a bad idea either, MR is pretty sexy as well.

I voted for Santorini because I like individual blues. If you are set on your choices, that would be mine.

If it were me and I was set on blue, I'd seriously consider (glossy, not frozen) Monte Carlo Blue and perhaps Laguna Seca Blue. Actually, MCB would probably be my choice.

If you are going the red route, I would much rather have Imola Red (best BMW red ever!) than Hellrot.

As for the wheels, rather than painting them black, why not have the GTS wheels installed at the port? Maybe you want gloss black rather than matte...??

Good luck!

Pretty sure the GTS wheels are about $2000+ for the set or is there a reduced price since they are taking my silver ZCPs?

I've heard they can be installed at the VPC. I don't know the details but I'd imagine that either the cost would be far less than the standard ~$2000 OR they would let you keep you original silver ZCP wheels, which you could then sell.

I remember reading about this here on the forum recently (that's why I suggested it) but I can't find the thread. Maybe your CA could help or one of the Individual experts here could chime in?

for me it would be a toss up between the santorini blue and the frozen BW.

I would most likely go with the santorini.

Talked with Francesca and she said they get a ton of requests for GTS rims but BMW says no port of entry installation, it has to be bought and installed at the dealer which means big $$$. I'll just have EAS powdercoat the OEM ZCPs.

Yeah I'm 99% positive I'll be sticking with my original choice of Santorini Blue. I'll buy the edition grill set, black chrome tail pipes, and Have EAS tint the windows, powdercoat the ZCP's vader black and install a set of 15/12mm spacers before I pick up the car.

Now the wait begins...

I think there has been a lot of good discussion, thanks for everyone's inputs!
