carbon hood and boot ... to do or not to do ?

hey guys planning to get a carbon fiber hood and boot lid (vrs style ) from vorsteiner . Wat do you suggest to keep the cf look or to paint it white ( as my car is white) . Any one got a pic of a m3 with the cf look hood and boot on cuz i cant decide

I would paint most of the part and leave part exposed. For the bootlid, if you have a good shop, you can fade the rear tail portion. For the hood, I would leave the vents exposed and paint the rest body color.

the hood doesn't look that great IMO..I would get the Varis hood.. Which is what I am doing

But I would like a vorsteiner trunk lid!

The stock hood is aluminum so there is not much weight to be shaved off there without going to balsa wood. The main advantage to hood is looks and heat escape. The bootlid saves about 10-11lbs over the factory part.

Well my new RAC's save about 18 lbs total, 10 lbs for a hood, 10 lbs for a trunk, 20 lbs for an aftermarket exhaust and 10 lbs off me (half way there!) saves 70 lb, may be worth it one day. Exhaust first though.
