Shooting

I know the rest of you redneck owners are like me, I was wondering if anyone else on the board does any shooting/collecting of firearms? I for one do, being ex-military, its a great hobby albeit a bit expesive from time to time. So, anyone?

Other than the pistol range twice a year and the rifle range once in a while . . . I don't do any "off duty" shooting . . . I let Uncle Sam pay for my weapons and ammo

I don't consider myself a redneck for enjoying a constitutional right, but the 4 broken down cars in my front lawn might qualify me

.40 H&K USP compact
Glock 17
S&W .357 revolver
Desert Eagle .44mag
Mini 14
Yugo SKS
AK 74
Remington 30-06 bolt action
Mossberg 12ga
Bushmaster M4A3
M14
RPG-7

Only kidding about the RPG

Can't go wrong with remington . I'm hoping this summer to find a LE/military 700. The all powerful M24 we used in our sniper teams. Just a glorified Rem. 700 with a heavy barrel. Strangely hard to find for a bolt action.

Yeah my lil USP is my favorite pistol to date. I love .40. I think it's the best overall caliber out there. A perfect combination of stopping power combined with magazine capacity.

Best qualities of the 9mm and .45 in one . I would love to get ahold of a H&K P2000SK .40 I've only seen one in stores and I couldn't get it since I wasn't a resident of that state.

Good luck in your endeveors. Well fyi if you don't know, if you complete the ROTC program in college you have a 4 year obligation to serve as a commisioned officer in the armed forces regardless of other job offers. And if a goal is to be a Marine scout sniper, I don't know of many officer snipers.

Granted I am not saying thats the way it is, thats just what I know/heard from others who went through certain programs.

Yeah usually NCO's are the company snipers. You could always look into the regular Army though. Sometimes *they* take some officers and send them to spook school and train them on a lot of things including sniping. You could be an OGA if you applied yourself and show a knack for things.
