It's a turbine off a helicopter.

Yes, it is a turbine engine from a helicopter. He said it's weird to ride because as you roll onto the throttle there is a lag, but once it starts to really roll - the acceleration doesn't drop off like a normal engine - it just keeps accelerating faster and faster as you go faster!
