Here's a real quick video I took tonight. The window was cracked a bit. It's a bit louder in person - best way to describe it is that it sounds more like a muscle car with a touch of exotic rasp to it. Think AMG. It definitely sounds mean. The GoPro3 didn't pick up the quality as best as I'd like, so Ill try it again this weekend.

no drone at that rpm whatsoever. Completely quiet cruising on the highway.

yeah, I don't know what was up with the microphone. It seemed to have a lot of background noise and crackling it it. That hasn't happened before, so maybe I'll update the firmware and see if that helps.

I like it! I love mpe and I think if I were to ever get a muffler I would want mpe. But honestly I can't justify the price.

You need a t-u-n-e my friend. It suppresses the check engine since you are now missing primary meow meows.

Nice...and I'm with you on the gopro, I did in car and one mounted to the rear...and the mic doesn't pic up the added volume at higher rpm or the difference in sound with and without test pipes.

I do too, but I still can't justify it yet. If a great deal popped up (used), I might do it in a few years. For now I'm happy with my setup, although it is a bit boomy at around 2200 rpm and high load.

It takes some cars longer for the CEL to come on, but it'll come on eventually.

If someone were to desire making a full exhaust with the MPE, what other options besides test pipes might exist? Any ideal header-back completion options that pair nicely to the MPE?

Why not just get a set of high flow cats, thats such a nice car and why mess with the factory warranty and make it obnoxious? A tune, high flow cats, rear exhaust of your chose, Dinan pulley and intake youll be at or over 450hp, 320 lbs of Tq and be warranty safe all well sounding great.

Warranties are for sissies.

In all seriousness though, I love how you suggest not messing with the factory warranty by removing the cats and modifying the exhaust and then you alternatively suggest to retain the warranty by loading in an aftermarket tune, removing the cats anyway and change out the rear exhaust.
To be fair, I don't think removing cats or swapping the exhaust is going to affect your warranty at all (except on those components) but loading a tune could certainly have dire consequences should something catastrophic happen to the motor while it's loaded (even if the tune wasn't really to blame for the failure) as BMW could easily claim failure due to aftermarket tuning.

If you use Dinan Pulley, intake , tune, they cover you with the same warranty as the factory, as i just spoke with my regional Dinan Rep yesterday about this.

As for sissy and warranty, maybe your rich , but im not and to replace an engine is well over $20k
Check out stage 2, not bad IMO= http://www.dinancars.com/shop/DINAN-...M3.aspx#page=1
