Tragic crash: Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera

An employee of Lamborghini went for a test drive, to show to his passenger, a 28 year old woman, the new Lamborghini Gallardo LP570-4 Superleggera. The roads were wet and he lost control of the car. He ended up in a pole and the car took fire. The driver died at once and the female passenger some time later, she could not survive the injuries. It happened in Wuppertal (Germany).

This is very sad, and what is even more sad is that I use this tragedy as a proof.
I put the fault of this accident not on the driver but on some people on this Forum and on VAG. Guess yourself why.

RWD is a preference but AWD is not an argument unless. Yet some make it one.
This is what happens when people believe in lie, that they can be race drivers by having an AWD sportcar (GT-R, 911 Turbo, R8, Gallardo).

Security does not come from AWD but from the driver.

HAHA.... you want to blame VAG because some idiot was showing off in 530HP car on wet roads because he was "under the impression that he could be a race car driver"?

I don't want to poke fun, this was an unfortunate accident for sure. But this would be like me blaming McDonalds because I choked on a french fry.

Lame.

And by the way you are completely contradicting yourself in your rant. You are blaming the car manufacturers and then you have in bold that you are blaming the driver.... so which is it?

If you don't put the blame on the driver, you're a moron.

"Others on the road said the Lambo was dangerously overtaking other cars, using the median to speed past some on the highway.

Eventually, the car launched into the air, slammed into a street light, and caught fire."

If you're using the median it isn't because you listened to some forum member saying AWD helps you at speed." You'r eusing the median becaeu youre a fucking idiot showing off with no clue.

You're part of the victimization mentality, not willing to take responsibility for your own actions, and not willing to place the blame on the ONLY person responsible for HIS actions. He's not the victim of anything or anyone other than his own stupidity. The driver was a grade-a jackass who not only crashed someone else's car, but killed someone else's daughter/mom/wife/whatever in the same idiot adventure.

Your mentality, bolded here, makes me sick.

AWD does not defy the laws of physics. However, its definitely the driver's fault.

lol. Exactly. I don't know what VAG is an abbreviation for, so in the meantime I will assume the above.

The main problem is that the driver was a fool to do what he did. Sure awd helps in a wet road condition but in the end, everyone should know that awd isn't the "save all" when it comes to driving a vehicle.

sad to see this happen

100% drivers fault, no matter the speed. Physics is a basic high school concept.

If some company tells me the world is flat I am not going to be afraid of falling off the edge, I am just going to use common sense because I know my shirt was blue when I woke up this morning.

I am not going to do the digging but in the past the OP has more than expressed his disdain for AWD cars. No mention of the potential to "get in over your head" because of false security AWD gives the driver.

If he is attempting to show their shortcomings with this horrific crash then it is beyond sad.

Fault lies with some members of this forum? Guess why. WTH does that mean?

I can't help it. How old are you?

I'll try to explain it in ENGLISH:

It is 99 % drivers fault. But he was decieved, as he thought nothing could happen in AWD sportcar.

No I don't. But I know that most of people think so.

Tell me why most of the 911 Carrera / S are 4WD?

What? They aren't.

You take the time to pull the sales figures on C4S' vs S'.

You are triggering an anxiety attack. The contradictions alone are making me queasy.

I put all of the blame on the driver. I understand there are those who believe AWD is the end all of performance handling and they are wrong. I don't put any blame on VAG since AWD does have a purpose--a quick launch (and that's about it).

Deceived? I think that is a little extreme. So you are saying that his "common sense" was completely derailed by a Lamborghini marketing campaign? A campaign where he was clearly told: "If you buy one of these you'll be invincible!" and "Street racing is totally okay if you are in a Lamborghini!" Have you got any links to this amazing propaganda? If you do then fuck man, I'll sue VAG because they are endangering my life.

If he was in fact deceived, then he was a complete fucking idiot. Perhaps the world is a better place with one less cocky douchebag in the gene-pool. Sad that the girl had to die too. I'm also happy that no one else was injured. That would have made this so_much_worse.

Maybe someone should tell the girl's family that they could sue VAG because of their "Lamborghini + Douche = Race Car Driver" marketing campaign.

The driver was bound to put a car into a pole regardless. It just may have happened slightly sooner without AWD. He's a dumbass. I wonder if the lady was egging him on, or if she maybe had nothing to do with him pushing the limits of the car. I guess that's the sad part of the story. She had no control over the situation, and may have been against the behavior entirely.

Ok I failed. I just feel concerned because it could also happen to me with my RWD. It could also happen to you when you got your M3. It is so exciting.

That picture must be photo shopped. It's impossible to lose control in an AWD car. Everyone knows that
