The next generation of german sports sedans have to compete with these clown cars now (challenger, camaro, mustang)...I would rather see manufacturers focus on other things than just numbers.
LOL
only the CTS-V competes with the M3 sedan, every budget class has its dumb drivers. i see lots of dumb young guys driving M3, i'm sure Ford and GM focus on other things, like F/E, handling, and price something their good at.

Honestly, I just raced one a few days ago. I pulled him all three times (2 rolling, 1 from a stop without launch control). I pulled him all three times, by an obvious amount.

BUT I WILL SAY THIS. For $33,000, Bang For Buck it is an amazing car. It is like the GTR in terms of getting what you pay for.

Still wouldn't get one. I see more chicks driving Mustangs then guys.

As a matter of fact, in the next building over from me I saw a smoking hot girl getting in to her Mustang 5.0 the other day. Love it!

I'd like to see some links saying the reliability of BMW is lower than Ford. I'll never believe that until I see some hard facts. Stop posting BS and start posting facts.

According to JD Power, Ford is #5 and BMW is #16 in number of defects per 100 vehicles:

i mean, the aluminum on the stang looks cheaper than my old apple powerbook...the buttons on the steering wheel look out of place...the speedometer reminds me of an old playstation 2 game...the nav screen looks worse than an iphone nav app...the dashboard looks like they took it off of a hummer...

the only + i can see is the alcantara....

^I'm going to have to agree with the pics above, the Ford interior looks like total shit. However it is a great performer.

I'm no fanboi, but there are many Ford and BMW fanbois in this thread. In the end, you guys are all retarded. /thread

There is nothing more pathetic than a mustang driver who thinks his car can beat anything because it beat the "almighty" M3 in the quarter. I am waiting to put them in their place :-).

Mustangs are like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get. They are easily modded with several already deep in the 11's with just bolt ons. You may be in for a little surprise...

There is already CNC'd heads and cams out, along with the Boss 302 intake so they can rev to 8k rpm as well. With these mods they will be putting down over 500 crank hp.

It's a glorified 3 series (interior wise as well as body/exterior wise) car nothing more. If you remove the bump in the hood and the extra exhaust pipes coming out from the rear, you are looking at a 3 series coupe with bigger tires nothing more. The real deal is obviously inside in the transmission, suspension, brakes, LSD, engine, and so on, but definitely NOT the interior. Because of the fact that their regular 3 series cost so much, BMW charges shitload of money for the M3. When the 335 coupe costs 50k, they are not going to charge 60k for the M3, obviously you are going to pay a 25k premium to start with.

What ford is doing is a great thing for the auto industry, especially those german bavarian elitists, because now they have competition in their doorstep. Our friends from detroit USA, owned the hell out of their track car with less than half the price, as for the interior, give me a break please. If I want interior, I'll go with a F10 or E class, if I'm getting an M3 for the interior, I have some serious issues. None of these apply to sedan obviously because someone buying that can make the case of buying a family car hence caring about the interior.

I'm sorry, I love the M3 so much, most likely I will end up buying one myself, but these overpriced german cars are being too much and I'm from europe, grew up there and lived there till I was 18 years old so I know a thing or two about the european mentality, especially the germans and how they love holding a fork and knife with silk gloves (/sarcasm).

Good job ford, you have done a fantastic job. Maybe now they can back their 80k car, which is a phenomenal sports car, with a high quality interior that's worth that 80k, not some cheap plastic that's an upgrade from a toyota camry or a ford taurus.
It is obvious that you own a 335 and not an m3. For one, over 75% of the parts on the m3 are different to that of a 335; this is quoted from the BMW M video you can pull from the BMW site.

In terms of the body, only the doors, windows and trunk are shared. The front fenders are CFRP (CRP) and wider, the back ones are also wider, the hood, trunk, side skirts and bumpers are also different. If one opted for the CF roof, that is obviously different too.

In the interior, the leather is superior to that of the leather on the 335. M3 uses Novillo which is much nicer and softer. I also have a 2011 X5d that has the same leather as the 335 and believe me, Novillo is a world away from the Dakota.

i like how someone argues the 5.0 is not stock because it has the bigger engine as opposed to its v6 little bro. stock means, came from factory as-is, untouched. the 5.0 is stock, no question about it. if it had a blower, then it'd be modded. end of story.

a 335i, 335is, m-sport, m3 from factory are also all stock by the same definition. throw on a tune, then it's modded.

do these things really need to be explained?
