Yes they go down, this allows you to have them go up.

Also appears as though (from instructions) that is also allows you to open ONLY windows or windows and sunroof...

AS soon as we get an answer on the CA ability I will be decided on purchase.

We were able to test in a e90 (non-M) yesterday and didn't see any problems. How is your module performing?

Thanks in advance.
remoteKEY does not change your CA features - the folding mirrors are controlled by the FOB or door button.

The unlock feature is cool too, I hate pulling the handle twice.
The unlock is a very useful feature.

I think what we wanted to make sure was if the features work with the FOB - AND- the door lock controls (ie: touch to lock and unlock)... Basically do you need to use the FOB or does with work with the CA...

I think you answered my question alredy (above), but I just want to make sure.

Thanks for all the help.

To be honest, the price will be going up, we're still selling the kits at the introductory pricing since we were able to negotiate a good price at the start.

I would recommend getting in now to save the $50.

The unit is very cool, but not at all worth the current price IMHO. It is a "want to have" not a "must have". I know you likely don't care but I know this thing probably costs $30 max. I'd drop $100 in an instant but $200, nope.

By the way you did not answer if you would support a group buy but I guess I can infer your answer.

Cheers.

+1 on definitely a "want to have." good luck selling at 200 bucks. i think i am aggravated at how long and drawn out this whole thing has been, like a bad magic trick.

Sporadically......also, it appears that using comfort access to lock my door doesn't fold in my mirrors. isn't that part of the point with this mod? I also agree with another poster - $200 is pretty steep to not have to pull twice on the door handle and to have to go back to using the fob to fold in the mirrors.....I bought it because I assumed that it worked with CA.

What is your return policy?

yeah, how is using the fob to fold the mirrors any different than pressing the damn button? this seems like the ultimate lazy-mans gimmick.

I don't get it, why would I want to extend my mirriors before I leave the garage? I thought the idea was to drive the car out then extend them so you don't break them off.

If you are parking in a spot so tight that you cant even back out how do you get out of the car?

What is your return policy?
It's a bit more than that:

- One touch window roll down
- One Touch window roll up
- Automatic Door Unlocking
- Automatic Mirror Folding

The modules are a bit overengineered in case new features are added - only a firmware flash is needed at no additional charge to the consumer.

remoteKEY was never intended to change CA features. The mirror folding is most helpful in parking lots (people waking through vehicles) or simply for those looking to individualize their BMWs.

I don't want you to be forced to keep something you are not 100% happy with. Contact me via email and I'll send instructions for return.

Tom
I think we all have the same question, using the CA lock and unlock, do the mirrors fold in and out?

You may want to clear that up in your product description (i.e. add it). As you can tell by the many questions on this forum, I believe people were under the impression that the mirrors folding in were tied to the car locking and unlocking vs the fob button being pressed, lock and unlock.

Yahtzee I agree with you. And it is somewhat true that the actual working of CA with this has not been clear. Some are reporting the oposite of what has been mentioned. But Tom did say

"remoteKEY does not change your CA features - the folding mirrors are controlled by the FOB or door button."

This leads me to beleive that it does with with CA and the mirrors fold in when the doors are locked using your finger. Honestly I would consider getting this if this small issue was cleared up.

Thanks

i am still confused. don't you already get #1 and #3 when you buy the car? holding the unlock buttong on the key fob puts the windows down, and pressing the key fob automatically unlocks the doors....

You clearly do not understand.

The first is standard, yes. But this system (as I read it) allows you to do windows & sunroof, or just windows.

#3 is auto unlock when you turn the car off. Right now the car does not unlock and you have to pull the door handle twice.

Are you being sarcastic or have you never parked your car in a garage with a single door? Its not that I need the mirrors folded in to back out, it would just lessen the chance of taking one out or scratching it.
