The kit can be used with or without an alarm or folding mirrors. If you do not have those options, those features will simply not be available.

remoteKEY window Control for 3-series (e9X) Coupe & Sedan
http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...oducts_id=1796

Features include:
- Remote window control: One-Touch operation of the windows and sunroof with the original remote on all models (US and Euro)
- Automatic door unlocking when ignition is turned off. Avoid having to pull the door handles twice to get out
- Comfort windows: All windows can be closed One-Touch with the wide "All-Windows" button in the driver's door.
- User programmable: The module can be individually enabled or disabled. All settings are retained even if the car battery is disconnected.
- Remote Fold-in Mirrors (if equipped). remoteKEY will fold in your mirrors on alarm activation.
- Shop/Diagnose mode: If activated the module is completely passive, as if it was not installed at all. It becomes invisible to diagnostic tools.

IMHO - these features should have been standard in the new M3, but we'll simply work on making an already awesome car even better.

Keep posted for a new thread that will go over the mods we have already performed on S65B40's M3, it's going to make for one interesting read.
If I don't want any of those other options, is it possible to disable them all but keep the remote fold-in mirrors upon alarm activation??

Yes, there are options to enable/disable specific features, or turn off the module altogether

I sent a PM to get the install instructions. I just want to confirm the complexity of the install before I purchase.
Thanks for your help.

I did the same and just read through the instructions. Appears to be a very easy install (probably 10 minutes top with no tools!) and the operating/programming procedures are very slick as well. Looks like a great product, I will definitely be buying once I take delivery of my E90 M3.

Great work!

Next, get to work on openning up Sport Plus Throttle, Sport Steering, and MDM DSC mode on non-ZTP cars. Bonus points for a MDrive-like feature for non-ZTP cars. That would land you many, many sales and probably lots of fame.

Still not clear. I have CA, I have folding mirrors. I think I am pre-wired for the alarm (all BMWs are right?) but do not have the alarm. So fo my car will the auto mirror folding work? Thanks.

Yes - the command is taken off the doorlock feature on the FOB, not the alarm. An alarm does not need to be pre-installed.

Seems as though there may be a hiccup or two with the sedan version of this mod - either that or this just simply isn't possible. It folds the mirrors in with the lock button on the key fob but not using the lock feature of CA (touching the door handle)? That stinks if that is the case.......otherwise, I cant really tell what else this mod does that a stock E90 M3 already has. Anybody with a sedan tried this mod yet?

I just want to confirm that the mirrors fold in with the CA lock and unlock feature or do I NEED to use the fob?
Thanks in advance.

ya 'I dont use my key so unless this works with CA aka touching the door handle to unlock the doors I wouldn't use it. It would be one of those Cool factor features but not something that would be useful.

I mean I COULD use the FOB and if it only works with the fob for the mirrors I would probably still get it, cause I want the window feature to open AND close them without having to use the key.
The unlock feature is cool too, I hate pulling the handle twice.

Pretty cool!!

But correct me if im wrong, don't the windows go down with the remote already from factory?

I know they don't go up, but I am almost sure they go down when you hold the unlock button
