Spoke with the vendor last night, hopefully he'll release the info within this week.

Since this is a pre-release product, I have no right to reveal the info without their permission. I wish I could though.

Just curious as to why all you folks want this mod. I have a buddy with a Benz and he sees no value other than it's fun to watch. He mentioned that even in a parking lot, the mirrors still get rubbed by walkers.

This is a very big deal to me living in Chicago and San Francisco (and others living in cities with tight parking being the norm) as most of the time when I park I'm in very tight parking spaces in garages or parallel parked on streets with cars, bicyclists, etc going by in close proximity. Knowing that your mirrors will always be folded in gives me extra piece of mind that they won't be dinged.

Yes, it's still possible for them to get hit (just like any other place on the car), but this is a valuable feature as they are the most likely piece of the car to get hit by others.

Thanks for all the feedback. As stated in the beginning, S65B40's M3 was the first to get this mod, it's a part of the remoteKEY package we're now offering:

remoteKEY window Control for 3-series (e9X) Coupe & Sedan
http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...oducts_id=1796

Features include:
- Remote window control: One-Touch operation of the windows and sunroof with the original remote on all models (US and Euro)
- Automatic door unlocking when ignition is turned off. Avoid having to pull the door handles twice to get out
- Comfort windows: All windows can be closed One-Touch with the wide "All-Windows" button in the driver's door.
- User programmable: The module can be individually enabled or disabled. All settings are retained even if the car battery is disconnected.
- Remote Fold-in Mirrors (if equipped). remoteKEY will fold in your mirrors on alarm activation.
- Shop/Diagnose mode: If activated the module is completely passive, as if it was not installed at all. It becomes invisible to diagnostic tools.

IMHO - these features should have been standard in the new M3, but we'll simply work on making an already awesome car even better.

Keep posted for a new thread that will go over the mods we have already performed on S65B40's M3, it's going to make for one interesting read.

When that comes out sign me the f*ck up. My fiance just might pay for that mod with her own money, one less thing for her.......

interesting... where do you wire it to?

I wish the mod wasn't as obtrustive as a module. It should be like the folding mirror mods for Mercedes--all you have to do is have someone program it...

It should work as long as you have power folding mirrors.

Email me directly and I'll reply with a copy of the install instructions.

This is incredibly easy as it only needs to tap into the CAN wires behind the glovebox for communication.
