You should ask the most famous Jerez Black M3 owner on the planet, "dooma350".

I only see purple in the paint at certain light, at certain angles. It is very rare to see it. I have owned the car for about 1 1/2 months and seen it about 2-4 times. Even though this is not my daily driver, I have driven it and admired it in every lighting enviorment. I actually dig the changes in the color, from black, to blue, to dark purple. I do not like flat, plain colors. To me, spending that much money and owning this special of a car, calls for a special color. I'm not talking S about anyone else and their choice of color, this is just what my preferences are.

I dont own Jerez but I have seen it in real life. Depending on the light you will see some purple coming through. However, it is very dark. I would say the majority of the time the car looked black to me.

I haven't seen any purple on mine. In direct sunlight, it's a super deep blue. Otherwise, it's black as night. It's an amazing color.

If you want purple get sparkling graphite. Jerez is more dark blue.

There is a slight purple color under certain conditions such as lightning and angles, its most noticeable under bright sunlight at angles.

I also have a JzB with extended beige on order. I have seen examples of this colour before and to me it is always black. Then blue if you go near to the car and stand at another angle. But this purple I only saw once and then was when it was directly underneath the showroom's fluorescent light. I also see quite a few people have post JzB in the forums and I have not seen any purple on them. Unless someone can challenge this?

I've had my E90 M3 sedan for about a month. I had my doubts at first--not about it being purple but about it being midnight blue. I now love it. It's primarily black but with midnight blue highlights in some lighting situations. It's just a terrific color, but, in my opinion, you should see it--at least a fairly large sample--before you buy it. Then again, if I'd seen it I might not have bought it. That would have been a shame since I do really, really like it.

God bless,
Tom

Agree'ing with this. There is definately a purple haze in bright sunlight at angles. Poeple that tell you they don't see it, either aren't looking hard enough or just aren't looking for it.

The purple haze is very very difficult to see. I'd say the color is rather very dark blue, when it's not black

The descriptions of this color are just cementing my future decisions to go ahead with my JzB choice. It sounds sort of like Carbon Black which I love.
