The DOUCHE BAG Passenger

My not very "car-intelligent" buddy got his first ride in the new e92 M3 w/ CF roof this weekend. So he touches the interior roof and says,"you know, you REALLY should of spent a little more and gotten the sunroof man." I then proceeded to slam on the breaks, came to a screeching halt and told him to walk home. j/k Don't mess with the CF roof! Feel free to share you own FOOL-ish passenger experiences.

I recently drove around a colleague in my M3 who I thought was a car enthusiast but turns out just likes premium cars for their status and poser appeal, and went full throttle to redline in the first four gears getting on the highway on-ramp. Aside from having the stupified look of sh1tting in his pants (I guess he's never been in a real performance car before because I don't think the M3 feels all that fast in a straight line compared to the competition), he went on to comment "wow, I could really hear the turbos kick in when you redlined it!!!" and when we parked and walked around the car to check out the details he commented "wow, the wheelbase is crazy thin on this car!" (he was pointing at how thinly the Michelin PS2s wrap around the 19" wheels. LOL!)

First of all, even if the M3 did have turbos, it wouldn't "kick in" at or near redline. That would be retarded.

Second of all, this dude obviously had no clue what "wheelbase" stands for. That is retarded.

I was detailing my car last week and so I:

1) washed
2) dried
3) clayed
4) washed
5) waxed
6) QD sprayed

then got dark, so gave up for the day. I'm on assignment somewhere that forces me to park in a covered garage that has holes in the ceiling and bats that fly in and out at night, so leaf-like debris is on the car everyday...so the next afternoon I:

7) washed again
8) dried
9) waxed
10) QD sprayed
11) wheels

Now to anyone on this board all of this probably seems mundane and obvious - which it is to us. And all of us know that the EXTERIOR is one continuous event and the INTERIOR is another. So on the third (and final day):

12) 303 aerospace
13) Lexol
14) Stoners
15) Vacuum

On this day, several of my friends from work who are staying in a couple of other apartments in our "row" walk up and say "Man, you know that it's JUST a car, right? You know it's gonna get dirty again right?" I tried to explain that yes, I know it's going to get dirty. It's SUPPOSED to get dirty, but that that wasn't the point. They couldn't understand. And I can't understand why they can't understand! Ha!

I have to get my car checked by the embassy guards when I go in to work. They have to look under the car, under the hood, and in the car. Well, I had them slam the hood a few times and put finger prints on my windows instead of using the doors. But, they are always asking me which after market company I went with to make my BMW look that good. I tried to educate them a few times but I just gave up. I started parking outside the fence, and I come out one day and found one of them sitting on my trunk. I almost kicked his azz. I did give a co-worker a ride one time and he said that my car was fast, but it wasn't that fast, he said. He was trying to compare it to the S65 AMG. We work with a girl that drives an S65 and she gave him a ride home one time. He asked me the same stupid question about if the CF roof came with a sunroof option. I was so annoyed by him.

i put in an order for an 09 m3 recently and my girl asked why i am getting another 3er.... i didnt feel like explaining the whole M business so i told her its cos i want a two door car. she said i was crazy to spend so much more money to get a car with 2 less doors... sometimes its just too complicated to explain how much a high revving v8 is worth...

I had a guy in my e46 M3 a few years back. Up until this point I thought he was a car enthusiast, a guy who claimed he loved sport cars..that ended. As he sat back in the seat for the first time he told me the seats were to narrow and they were pinching him.. mind you he's 5'6" and thin. hummm... then as we were underway he told me he would never buy a manual because they were too old school (aka I can't drive).. this is before DCT fellas. As we were underway he asked if there was something wrong with my suspension because it seemed too rough. AHH! At this point I wanted to bitch slap his poser ass.. but I stayed calm.. well kind of. The more he infuriated me with his mindless, uninformed banter the more aggressively I drove, until... While braking hard for a curve from 100MPH on a great twisty road I love.. he almost jumped out of the car because he truly believed "the car will flip over". This is where he finally made me snap.. he told me no cars.. not even race cars can brake that hard from speeds anywhere over 100MPH because they can easily roll over. UHH.. dude, your a F(*&&*^G idiot!

Ok which embassy is this? And, you tell that guy you gave a ride: I know of a great optometrist. Comparing S65 to an M3.

I took my girlfriend out to look at cars a few weeks ago. We looked at Mini's, BMWs, and VWs. I'm personally pushing for a Cooper S.

We pulled up to the VW dealer in the M3 and the salesguy came out to meet us. We ended up driving a Jetta GLI. The sales guy did his rant explaining everything about the car while I drove toward an area with some fun twisties. He was heading for trouble when he started taking jabs at the M3: "well, your BMW has lots of power I'm sure, but the GLI makes a ton of torque which makes it alot more fun to drive in the corners" ... and "the handling on the GLI package could give your car a run for its money"

I just smiled whenever he said something stupid. Remember the twisties I mentioned? I took most of them sideways, tires screaming, salesman grasping the oh-shit handles for dear life. At one point casually I said, "wow, the handling sure is nice" That shut him up. His face was off-white for the remainder of the test drive. Frankly, I don't think he could handle a hot-lap in the M3
