Four months later...'09 Interlagos M3 Coupe!
This is going to have to be short because it's been a really long day and I'm beat. Picked up my car at Garlyn Shelton BMW, which is about an hour and a half outside of Houston. When I first laid eyes on it, I almost couldn't believe it was really mine because I've been waiting for what feels like so long (4 months).
Earlier in the week, Robert Collier with Detailed Autos put on my clear bra, Zano'd, clay barred, and waxed my car, and the Interlagos just popped! The clear bra is virtually invisible, even up close. I couldn't be happier with how it looks. Robert, and some new and old BMW friends (including FusionM3 from this forum, who has an '08 IB coupe almost exactly like mine) were nice enough to come meet me at the dealership. We grabbed some lunch and snapped some pictures. Their pictures are much better than mine, so hopefully I can get them and post them up. I've already got 200 miles on her and couldn't be happier. What a car. I'll save my impressions until after break-in, but I love it. It could be a long 1200 miles. Also, you'll notice that mid-way through our meet, I swapped out the orange reflectors for clear. I think it looks good on IB.

I just can't get tired of Interlagos. . .no matter how much I look at it, it's still one of my favorite colors on the M3. . .great choice

The clear reflectors seem like the "new hip mod" instead of painted ones. . .I think it looks great because it matches the headlights well.

Thanks, I agree 100%. It really pulls the front end together well, and I think it will look good on the darker color cars (IB, LMB, JB, JzB, and SG). I'm glad I did this mod.

Thanks for the compliments, everyone. I couldn't be happier with the Interlagos. My wife had never seen the color before, and I joked with her that I was getting a "purple" M3. She was very dubious, but absolutely loved the IB from the moment she first saw it. It's like a chameleon. You can walk just two or three feet around the car and the color completely changes.
As some of you know, I was seriously considering several other cars. Driving the M3 home yesterday, I knew I made the right choice. This car is incredible, and I'm still breaking her in.

When your LSB M3 comes in, you'll have to take pics of it with next to LeMans and Interlagos M3s. I think we're all as excited to see LSB as you are, if that's possible.

Congrats! Looks great, I love the clear reflectors!!
I think they look much better than the painted ones because they actually look like they belong there as opposed to looking like some raised wart. |

That would be cool to get a picture of all the blues together.

Congrats!
IB looks great under the sun! P.S. Don't go for Carbotech XP8s (we were talking about this earlier). I went through a set of fronts entirely in 2 days. Go for more agressive compound.
