Great writeup--looks like a great way to buy a BMW!
I loved the picture of your mom in the backseat--that face she had on is about the same as the one my mom and gf wear each time they get in my car.

Congrats Bro! My baby was also delivered in the same exact spot as yours. I believe that is the "lucky" M spot!!! Enjoy your car bro...ED and the M itself is an experience like no other....

How did they mount your front euro delivery plate? It looks like there are no screws.

Great write up OP. Car is beautiful, and I love how the speed cloth extends the entire seat now. I think it gives the seats a more complete look and appears less unfinished...definitely sporty. Hopefully I will be doing an e90 M3 ED next spring. Your pics definitely helped in the meantime. Congrats! |

You def need to go... it's unreal. I almost want to spend a vacation there for a week and just get a cabin in the mountains, down between fussen and innsbruck looks like where the filmed "the sound of music" it's a really magical place. Kind of gay to say, but there really is no other way to describe it. I can see why Europeans frown on America, they take such great care of their country and nothing is over industrialized. To think it's like the size of PA. Seems like an endless landscape in a Bob Ross painting .... nothing but happy trees and smiling mountains Quote:

I thought that was bs too. I spent 45 mins in traffic sweating and worrying that I was going to run out of gas before I got to a station

PicassoM what did you need to take out of the car when you dropped if off?
First-Aid, Warning Triangle, Manual? I even heard you keep one of the keyfobs.

By the way, Welt delivers all the cars with less than a quarter tank due to safety policies. They should at least provide customers with gas coupons to fill their new cars at the nearest gas station. |

Did you happen to still be there to see BMW's guy wheelie his motorcycle up and down the stairs inside the Welt? I was too hung over in the morning and had to re-deliver later in the afternoon, so I can't remember what time this went off. Also, with my background in civil engineering I can tell you I really appreciated getting the Welt book as one of the gifts when they presented the car. It's filled with some great info on the construction and history, packed with stunning photographs. What did you think of it?
