Is this a good deal or should I push it for more?

Hi I'm new here. I'm in a position of purchasing a new 09 e92 m3 and have been contacting the dealer in NY (hassel bmw) for one of their fully loaded inventory. Here are the equipped options:

Alpine White w/ Fox Red w/ CF trim
Premium Pack
Tech Pack
Cold Weather Pack
M-DCT
19" forged wheels
Enhanced Speakers
Anti-theft alarm
rear parking sensor
ipod & usb adapter
satellite radio

plus destination & gas guzzler tax the MSRP is $73,720. I made an offer of $66,000 and they accepted almost right away with the condition of either I pay straight cash or 8.29% APR financing. Now I know there's $4,500 incentives and with that in mind do you guys think this is a worthy deal or should I either push more down on straight cash or negotiate for a better apr with lower monthly? Thanks a lot for all your helps and opinions first I just wanna make sure that I'm doing the right thing with the limted quantity of 09 m3 as of now.

8.29%? That's crazy. Negotiate the price lower.

I think it's too high. Start w/ invoice on the car & decide how much over you want to go. In Dallas, 09s are going a few hundred over invoice whereas 10's are going close to MSRP.. Good luck ..

What dealership in Dallas have you talked to? Best guess would be Classic. Since BMW of Dallas, and Autobahn pretty much stick as close to MSRP as they can.

I have a 2010 E90 coming and I got it for $750 over invoice + M3 floor mats. I don't get how dealers are asking msrp. Anyway, there's a $4500 incentive on 2009s, BUT it can't be combined with 0.9% financing. So either offer invoice or a little over invoice for a 2009 if you want the financing OR pay cash (or get outside financing) and price the vehicle invoice minus 4500. hope this is clear. good luck.

Thanks guys for your helps. I can't pay the full amount by once and was trying to get the best deal with either financing or least purchasing. If the 09 in this scenario is not that different than the 10, I think I will rather order an 10 because I can wait, and it would be the car that I exactly like. Anyhow, thanks for your opinions.

OP, unless the car on the lot is very close in terms of colors/options that you're looking for and you're getting a killer deal, don't settle. Get the exact car you want and have no regrets. I would hate to look back and say, "damn I should have ordered the fox red seats" My 2 cents
