Seen this a few times now - great car. Took a peak at it this year at the autoshow. Gearhead and I were very very fortunate to see the prototype last year at Mid Ohio!

Another review in Autoblog.
Apparently the rear brakes begin to smoke after 3 laps. WTF are these idiots thinking. You launch a dedicated Track Car, and the brakes are good for 3 laps. Sounds like they hired the same engineers that conjured up the Z06. American mindset and Ingenuity. http://www.autoblog.com/2011/02/24/2...-drive-review/ A few times the cars came in with smoke coming from the rear, and we couldn't do more than three or four really hard laps before they needed a cool down. Track addicts take note: new pads and maybe an aftermarket set of rear brakes should be on your shopping list. |

But on the same note if the goal was to match the M3 capabilities,it looks like they met the goal as far as braking was concerned |

I do agree regarding the press and their driving skills, but driving skills or not, I was at a Porsche PDK event that involved repeated 0-100-0 with 30 journalists back to back, no brake fade, and the transmission was perfect after all the 6000 rpm launches. |

Special Advertising Section television. Has some value, but you have to take it for hour long advertisement that it is.
