Some impressive times, but it's really not a fair to make comparisons between different mags/rags. For example, the 997S has a 0-60 time of 3.9 secs, which was accomplished by C&D or M&T. It also posted the best ever braking time by one of those two rags. I don't have the patience to look it up or the desire, however, I know they exist because I read the articles at the time.

My point is that it appears that you are selectively finding times that suit the M.

Well, the list has been compiled by several members here. And, as far as I am concerned anyone can add a number for a relevant car and quote the source. Feel free to add whatever 911 numbers you would like as long as you can reference the source. It is true that different mags will test the cars under different conditions--I've been making that argument about the Ring times--so they need to be interpreted with that in mind. Notice that there are two 0-1000m numbers for the M3; one is faster and the other one slower than the 911S. This is obviously not a scientific comparison, and I don't think anyone is claiming that it is. It's merely a way to summarize certain performance figures.

Exactly, Thats why I re-composed this list. To "generalize" and visualize where the new M3 fits into the performance world. Hopefully this list will grow and become a running benchmark of abilities that easily illustrates the strength and weakness of contenders.
