The last ride
So last Friday I took the last ride in the m3 affectionately known as Belinda before selling her. I had the car for three years with only 13000 miles. So while driving I did get a little emotional even though the car wasn't driven as much as I would have liked too I still had some fantastic memories in it. I remember before it was delivered to the dealership I hunted down the boat it was on at Port authority; boats name was Aida. I purposed to my fiance while having the car. It was the first car that I had ordered and bough brand new, well financed.... a lot of first in that car. But like my dad said all great things eventually come to an end to make room for greater things and here she is introducing my 2012 GTR. The car only had 8000 miles on it, still had factory warranty, and was driven on a lease by someone I know. He lives in my town and is a foot Dr who actually took care of my foot when I injured it last year. Everything just worked out perfect. Well enough typing here are some pics of the new ride. Once I drive it a little bit more I will post my feedback on the two cars. Hope you guys like it.

I don't think you made room for something greater here by replacing a E92 M3 with a 2012 GT-R. I had the same exact choice a 2012 low mileage GT-R (black edition) and my factory ordered E92 M3. The GT-R owner was very honest and told me ownership of a GT-R is not what he expected. It's fast but not in a way that you feel connected with the car like an m3.

Thanks guys for all complements and no I am not an engineer lol but do have my law degree (flame one lol but I don't practice) and my mba, I Co-own a hotel management/Development company. I tracked the m3 quite a bit but i am a little scared to track my gtr cause of maintenence cost but I definitely am going rent one for a few track days if I can. Thanks again gentlemen for all the compliments and critiques on my decision.

The ///M3 fits that bill for me so I special ordered my first BMW ever, the 2013 ///M3. It exceeds my expectation in virtually all level/category that a car can offer for competitive price under $100K. Knowing that I owned the first and the last true ///M3 that uses a V8 naturally aspirated engine that reachs 8300 RPM just sealed the deal for me. Yeah sure all great things comes to an end but at least after nearly 30 yrs of ///M3, I got the last of the dying breed... the better end! Quote:
And do yourself a favor don't be a hypocrite by attack another member calling Euro snobs pissed that Nissan in spanking their fav overpriced cars! I'm sure ///M3 owners are well aware of the GTR's technical facts when compared to the ///M3. Last edited by Agent-GHQ; 04-28-2014 at 01:29 PM.. |

Very nice ride you picked up there.I just experienced the same thing you did with my Evo 8 as I became so attached to that car, but I picked up a Mineral White M3 on Saturday, and already in love with this thing

i have always liked GTRs. i like the idea that there is a car out that for the money is stupidly fast. specially when modded. i remember my friend was buying a 370z, and they had a brand new 2012 or 2013 GTR at the stealership. the GTR looks wayyyyy better in person IMO.
i think people mis understand GTRs . they are not the nicest looking, nicest sounding, best fit and finish etc. there mission is to be the fastest car on the road. and they do a great job at that. i have never really been into bang for your buck cars though. i would probably want a Z06 before i would want a GTR. still a nice car! |

I think the GTR is a fantastic car, and I would not be unhappy owning one. Congratulations OP!
