Question about Eisenmann Race exhaust.

I am thinking of buying an Eisenamnn Race and I was wondering if it is too loud for daily drive. And was wondering if the drone is bad. Thanks guys!

I've heard it in person and it's not too bad but why not just get the sports as a daily driver.. For me even as a daily I would get the race system but that's just me.. Idk louder is better that way I see it. What's the difference between the stock system and the Eisnmann Sports as far as sound? Well, not too much so what's the point?

I say go for it. It's not crazy loud. I have the louder version than the race and it is very tolerable
There's no drone that I have picked up on and I have been driving the car pretty hard

I don't think its too loud, but my wife complained so I got an Akra.

But DRONE is there for sure

Every, I repeat, every, aftermarket exhaust has some drone to it. Some just have more than others. As far as sound goes, it's pretty good for a DD. A local member has it on his vert and it sounds mean and meaty. I'd say go for it.

Sound is very subjective my friend. Before taking advice from people here, get a feel for the age of the poster. $.02

I've started with the Race, switched to Sport and went back to the Race.. It's not my daily driver, but it is tolerable.. I don't think you'll regret it. I've done a couple 500+ mile trips and it's not too bad.. My wife likes the exhaust too.

It is fine for a daily if you are using the stock cats and midpipe (which most people do). That being said, I have mine for sale if you are interested!

Yeah man, I remember when you floored it after leaving that Audi dealership and I just stood there in the parking lot with the sales rep and boy did your car sound sweet. We were both in awe.

I've had both Sport and Race.

I have very sensitive ears, so to me, Sport has a slight bit of drone, but nothing intolerable. This was on my first M3.

Then, I bought another M3 with Race, which to me, has quite a bit more drone. But the previous owner who rides a Harley thought it was quiet.

So, it really depends on your noise/drone tolerance. GL!

I have the race. The race by far is one of the best exhaust on the market, as per style and sound. The tips really completed my rear end section with the vorsteiner diffuser.

Haha I remember that, thanks man. It really is an incredible sound, whenever I let a friend drive my car and I follow behind, Im always shocked at how exotic it sounds.

I had the sportversion last year and when i started it up first time i was kinda dissapointed how quiet it was. Switched to the race version....NICE.

But if you're going full exhausat with HFC and x-pipe i strongly suggest you go sportversion. But if you're only going rearsection id go race but thats just me. Let us know what you do.

I daily my car car... (eisenmann sport), the sound is just right.

Loud enough on cold starts to barely upset neighbors (I live in a townhome)
Quiet enough to have decent conversations in the car during normal driving
Loud enough outside the car to know its not stock, but it isnt "in your face, hey look at me"

if you get the Eisenmann with connection pipes, will it throw out a code? or is it only if you change out the whole exhaust system (i.e. full Akra) that you will get a code? i would like to go with a whole exhaust switcheroo...

The Eisenmann system will not throw any CEL's since its a rear system only.
