EDC cancellation options?

Just about to order KW Clubsport 3-ways for an EDC equipped E92 M3 so what is my best option to 'cancel' the EDC?

I know KW and Macht Schnell do kits, whats the difference? Is one easier to fit? Is one better than the other?

Hoping to order suspension today so would appreciate a quick response

Cheers lads

You can also go to someone like www.bmcoding.com and just get it coded out. I used the MS module simply because I wanted it done on my schedule and did not want to have to do coding again to ever put the oem stuff back in. Niv at bmcoding does awesome work though.

Thanks, I'd be looking to do the same so I'm either going to get the KW or MS kit. Am I right in saying the MS kit is just one module in the boot (near the battery)? And the KW kit is 4 modules located at at / near each wheel? If that is the case is the MS kit easier to install?

Cheers

Don't know about KW but MS is one module up above the battery.

I'd just have it coded off vs buying those pricey modules. Less weight as well when coding

I'd then have to rely on somebody else though, buying the module means I can fit and remove when I want.

That was my reasoning. The MS module weighs just about zero, so the weight argument does not fly. It is all about money and the hassle of installing the module.

Buy DCAN cable and learn to code it out yourself.

That way you can code it back yourself when needed. You also get the benefit of coding anything else you need.

That's what I did.

Yup weight is negligible on a road car that weighs ~1600kg. Cost really doesn't fly either because you have to pay somebody to code it out then if you return to stock you have to get them back again. Plus when you're finished with the module you can always sell it to recoup some money.

Decided to go the KW route anyway so can anybody comment on how easy it is to install? Any DIY guides? Although it's not for my car, I will be helping to fit.

Cheers.

Interesting. Can you code passenger seat occupancy sensor out too? Do you have a link to all the functions you can carry out using that cable and associated software?

Lets see... $60 ish to code it off with coding a lot of other options and maybe $60 more to code it back on. I said maybe because it'll probably be cheaper.

Schedule the appointment and then wait 20 mins or so to complete the coding.

The modules are about $500 new? You can do the math. Remote coding is a breeze. Its not like swapping in track pads for street pads... how often do you plan on swapping suspensions?

The weight thing was just me being cheeky.

MS module is $300 and you can sell it if you ever want to walk away. Plus when the dealer accidentally over writes your coding while they are doing their work, the module is not affected.
