Is it too late to start mods? F3x M3 are coming!
I just traded in my E90 for an E92 Dakar Yellow ZCP few days ago. I am already thinking to powder coat the wheels matt black or polish black. Somehow I feel E92 is getting old. Lots of early 08,09 started long time ago. Would it be wise to mod it now? or wait for the new M4 coupe? When do you guys think it will launch?
my mod list is simple: ZCP wheels to black carbon front lip/splitter oem or replica carbon spoiler oem or replica

this I think the heavy modding for most people is actually about to start. Prices should fall and more and more should be doing preventative maintenance and throwing a blower on. |

The M4 (coupe) won't be out in the US until 2015 most likely. For me, that's way too long to wait, which is why I just got a brand new E92 and plan to mod it extensively.
Although your mod list is pretty short, it's worth considering that it usually takes a couple of years for quality aftermarket parts to be sufficiently tested and developed when a new car is is released. Also, you have a very unique color in the E92, and would have to wait even longer to find such a combination on the new model. Just my opinion.

BTW, Dakar is also one of my favorite colors (after Laguna, of course). Had a Dakar E36 as my first ///M, years back. Congrats!

You shouldn't worry too much about the new model. If you are feeling the itch to mod and you are feeling your M3 is getting old then do some updates. You can go with some LED fender lights, LED interior lights, LED plate lights, and LUX White Angel Eyes to update the lighting. I like the BMW Performance look with the carbon splitters and trunk lip, it really adds something extra to the car. Add a carbon diffuser and exhaust. If you are going to go with black ZCP wheels I would say consider going gloss black so it has the dripping-wet look to match the Carbon pieces. Have you thought about getting some iND pieces? Get the paint-match reflectors, gloss black grills, side grills, paint-match engine plenum, paint-match or gloss black interior trim. Seems like you are getting bored more than anything. Time to mod!!!

I am planning on getting an m4 when it comes out but I have a guy feeling I won't be as impressed with it as I hope to be. I already have a tuned n54 car and I am not so certain the m4 will be much better. If it isn't, I will be looking to buy a car exactly like the one you currently possess. |
