well for those of us that stay within the speed limit, and/or do no more than 10 mph over, we have no issues.

It's those knuckle heads that drive crazy, get the cops involved, etc. I stay away from that group. Don't get me started on last year

I don't know why it seems that when a big group of BMWs and Euro cars are involved, that speeding and reckless driving is mandatory. It isn't. Once one person starts doing it, then others feed off of it and imitate. 100 mph and near misses can be avoided if people do the right thing and behave. It is only dangerous for those that make it dangerous.

As far as near misses are concerned, DarkStar, are you referring to that lady who was a foreigner, that didn't know how to drive, that almost hit you while merging onto 495 from Tysons? I remember that - I was right behind you and saw the whole thing. She actually hit someone else, bumped another car (nobody from our group). I saw her facial expression when I passed her, she had the look of "oh no, i can't be my fault..what just happened?"

I've had fun the two times I've went. Both times I've steered clear of reckless drivers in the group, and went at my own pace.

Bump for this weekend! Weather.com is saying it's going to be 86 degrees with a 30% chance of rain.

For those of you who are coming from Northern Virginia, there is a small caravan gathering at Tysons II at 7:45am. This will be on the top parking deck by Cheesecake Factory. From there they will depart around 8:30am and caravan to the Rockville meeting spot. All are welcome to join.

Additionally, after the meet, some of us are going down to the Simeone Automotive Museum which is just a short drive away (about 10 minutes down I-95). http://simeonemuseum.org

Just as a heads up everyone - someone on Bimmerforums posted: "Just an FYI.....Oregon Ave has been totally stripped of asphalt from Delaware to Broad, so wear your stone-chip gards/front-end bras etc. Ill update if its been black-topped before the event."

I personally haven't seen how bad the road conditions will be so just be careful and drive with caution.

I'm glad you brought this up. I was down there the last weekend and it's driveable but the road surface very poor quality. Exposed manholes are like landmines. You guys with lowered cars need to be extremely careful. I hope they pave soon. Try to have fun anyway and I hope to see everyone there.

For those that want a "central" meeting point between Rockville and the Delware House, there is a group meeting at Ikea in White Marsh between 10:00am and 10:30am, leaving right around 11:00am to try to meet up with the larger group on I-95.

Thanks to everyone that came out yesterday! We had another great attendance this year with approximately 100 cars coming out. We even had a Gallardo Superleggera and a Ferrari F430 come up with us from Maryland, plus a Delorean! There was a backup due to an accident but besides that, there was absolutely no traffic the whole way up, not even at the tolls.

Once I start seeing photos and videos start to surface I'll post them up.
