I just moved it back and forth like a "sawing" motion while my gf lifted it gently from the side i started on. No heat gun needed. Came off in 5 min.
Hi, I just got mine from bmwpartspros, is there anything else I need aside from the betalink? Did you follow a website or DIY site for the install? I'd like to do it myself after I get it back from the body shop (getting it color-matched).

Hey man, i used this http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=549594 but instead of 3m i used betalink. The betalink comes with instructions on how to put it on and how long it takes to set. I also did not use that plastic stuff that they wrap boxes in to remove the spoiler. I cant see how one would not scratch up the trunk using that so i used the fishing line and it worked just fine. Broke the line like 3 times but i had enough to continue. Just make sure someone is pulling up on that lip as u use the fishing line. Makes it so easy. And in addition to tape i placed something heavy on the center of the spoiler because there was a small space. it set nice and flush with the added weight on top.

Also have a rag handy when attaching the spoiler so you can use the solvent that the betalink comes with to wipe the excess. It can get messy.

Roger that. Where'd you get the betalink from? Do I need to purchase anything else aside from the fishing line? I debadged a Dodge Ram truck using fishing line so I'm pretty familiar with that part of the process..

I purchased the betalink from my local bmw dealership. They actually had no idea what i was talking about so i had to explain to them what it was used for and they had some in stock. It was like 45 bucks. And because of your answer, were you ever in the military? Just curious.
