Dinan Race Tune on Stock Midpipe ok temporarily?

Hi guys,

I assume it's ok, but I'm planning on getting a dinan rear with race tune done at Dinan, and test pipes installed locally. I don't want to get the test pipes done first cuz that will just sound ugly.

But if I go to get the dinan stuff done first, will it be ok to run it on a stock car at least temporarily? Atleast there will be a little bit of added flow from the rear section, if not much.

Thanks!

The only difference that I know of between the 2 Dinan tunes is that the "race" tune only deletes the CEL you get from removing the cats with the x-pipe.

Correct, same tune just no exhaust related CEL.

Like the others said, you'll be fine. I'm all for Dinan products. But if I where you, I would consider purchasing a tune from Evolve or BPMSport. I felt like they are specialists in the tuning business. They will both give you more power for similar dollars, plus they'll be able to adjust your tune as you add parts.

Thanks for the insight. I was considering this as well, but I already have the dinan street tune, so they will only charge me the difference for the upgrade. So for now, I'll just stick with the dinan tune
