but from the free samples, it sounds a lot like SAMS CLUB. Which you need a card to get into.. -___- -Nathan

That is the unfortunate part of costco or sam. I only know of one costco in houston. I would think this area would have at least two costco. I am not a member of either one.

Went there yesterday with Mantis. He got a membership, we both got a coupon for a free pizza for the referral.
There are 2 Costcos where I live and 2 right by my work. I think in a 15 mile radius there are at least 5 I can think of.

I try to teach my kids not to take the free samples - those are for fat poor people looking for a handout.
I bought several gift baskets there this Christmas - set them out at work for everyone to share. Who needs a gross of toilet paper?! Or a palette of Bisquick? Or a 6-pack of televisions? Get a Costco Amex, worth the fee. Rebate coupon each year. Least favorite items: Panasonic electric pencil sharpener - it broke after a week, and I returned it. Lane office chair I had to return - parts wouldn't fit. Beef ribs taste crappy. I don't like their skirt steaks. Hard to buy fruit and vegetables there. All of the food they cook up front sux - 'pizza', 'chicken' pocket. |

I dislike how people think that they are above others..
They may be in wealth, but their personality shows that they truly aren't. :/ -Nathan

I always get my bottle(s) of Dom there for New Year's or any other significant event. Also the jumbo bottles of olive oil.
Sams has the hookup for specialty alcohol. Had a nice nip of Macallan's 12 year old last night. |

LOL of course it's not charity, but I wouldn't take charity either. Don't tell me you never buy the food after trying it. Sorry if I offended. I didn't mean to point out that I'm better than you. |

If I had kids I would let them try everything they wanted, because it is pretty much like a trip to Disneyland for them. -___- How is it harming your wallet anyway, if you don't plan on buying the item. And in no way do I think that you're better than me, but this just furthers my theory that you have a superiority complex. I like how you stuck that in there at the last second. You did notice how I said others, and not myself?? -Nathan

I prefer the chicken tacquitos that costco has. I think they use the white flour wraps, which is even less healthy, but whatever. I don't eat them that often anyway.
Neurorad, I think you're teaching your kids to be a little paranoid. They are just free samples. If anything you can teach them to eat the samples and not buy the actual product, then you're teaching them to sticking it to the store. |
