So, what was the sedan under the cloth then? It wasn't this E90 LTW since both were seen in the same picture AFAIK. And the M5 was not revealed at the event.

Don't expect it in the U.S. Thanks to our DOT, car would be 75 lbs. heavier than ROW version (airbags in seats, bumpers, etc.). Kinda defeats the purpose.
Thank your government for adding weight and cost to your vehicle while decreasing fuel mileage (all with de minimis safety impact).

i want to remind some people here that when BMW was racing in the IMSA back in the 90s', they switched from the 2doors E36 M3 to the 4 doors E36 M3. Can anyone guess why? maybe because it was aerodynamically correct?
Stop bashing on the E90; gets old. |

Doubt it would sell outside Europe/Asia/Middle East.

Love it! about time! No mention of weight though that's somewhat worrisome. Are we talking about a big weight reduction with exotic materials or just an A/C and back seat delete and a 100 lbs. weight savings?

Dr. Segler did mention a concept vehicle coming this year that would employ the use of an exotic material. He suggested it wouldn't be cost effective but more-so a display of their capabilities.
