Increased Prices
Hello guys,
I ordered my car for ED in Sept, and to my surprise, fox red leather now cost 950 extra even with premium package. Anyone else having this issue? |

not for the packages, but for some reason, there has been an increased for leather color. I am hoping it's a glitch in the ordering software. Anyways, i'll keep you guys updated once the prices comes out.

I really hope/doubt this is the case. Basically they are raising the price of premium package by 1500 bucks if they do charge for these options. BMW really likes to piss us off dont they!

Speed cloth is for speed
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Forgive me if this is obvious. People haven't really mentioned that the speed cloth doesn't exist just to be a cheap alternative to leather. It has more friction than leather so it prevents sliding around in the seats at high speeds. ... and did I mention it is a Standard Option?

no offense, but who wants a $60k - $70k car with cloth seats?
but yes, you're correct. if I remember correctly, upgraded trim is no longer included in the premium package and neither is leather. for whatever reason, those two items are now extras. |

Imagine what Ferrari 430 Scuderia owners think when they pay $280k for cloth seats in their Ferrari?

Please let us know. I'm getting ready to order soon and would like to see what they have done. I'm guessing power seats are included in the premium package, but certainly not worth it as a package if it costs an additonal $1500 for leather and upgraded trim. I think I would opt for the extended speed cloth and manual seats and skip the premium package all together. I think the extended speed cloth seats look fine. Didn't like the ones posted in the speed cloth thread.

Dima, stop promoting speed cloth, we all know you ordered your car with it, nothing special about it, and stop comparing your seats to the F430 Scuderia which has a downright disgusting interior (ever been in one, try it out). Extended leather FTW, no questions. Finally, neither DimaBimmer nor 99% of members here are going to be going fast enough to notice the damn fraction in leather vs. cloth. F-ing hilarious, like kids in a coral in this forum. LOLOLOL
