Definitive way to burn MP3 CD's

Hi All,

Before I make any more coasters, does anyone have a working method to make readable MP3 CD's? Here's my process, which just resulted in coasters:
  • Open Nero Express and create new Data CD
  • Drag the songs from iTunes into Nero Express (all in the main directory, nothing but MP3's)
  • Burn at full speed (48x in my case)
Advice? Thanks!

That's what I do. You'll be fine. Also note that any songs purchased from iTunes are not MP3s so they will not 'transfer' over from itunes to nero.

Have fun driving your M with some new cds

depending on your system, burning at 48x might be too fast....
also, like DevJ said, check the file extensions on your files and make sure you're using a compatible file format.
another thing to check for is DRM (digital rights management)

I'll try tonight on a slower speed... and I just remembered that some of my music may be in mp4 format. I'll check that tonight!

just burned a working Mp3 CD, but it loads INSANELY slow... switching between songs takes 4-5 seconds, and going through each directory is a pain. Any ideas, guys?

Put the MP3s on an iPod or USB flash drive. It much faster because random access on a flash device is much faster than off a CD.

+100000

I bought a 16GB Corsair memory stick and have it filled with music.. switching between songs is super fast.. It fits perfect under the armrest too (allowing it to close)
