Struggling to make a case for anything other than an M3?

But to be honest, with all of your requirements you basically described an m3. Most people would suggest that to you regardless if they are from the forums or not.

I also have owned a dct and mt m3, and IMO the dct is a much better fit for this engine and car. I wouldn't consider a 6mt m3 personally, the DCT is at least worth a drive. Id get a 6mt e46 over a 6mt e9x.

I can agree with your conclusions especially since you own a car and I just took it for about 2 hr test drive. To me the seats in M3 were more comfortable and adjustable bolster put them over the top. Also, like you said the car does pull as hard as M3, you just don't feel that sensation of acceleration. I really wanted to like RS5, in fact I already had my insurance adjusted plus loan ready to pull the trigger at the dealership. It was not to be.

I don't particularly consider myself wedded to BMW or to any car brand for that matter. I currently drive a 2008 E92 M3 that has served me beautifully, but I am considering something new. There's no way I would spend $90k+ on a S6. The C63, especially the black series, is a helluva alot better car than the Audi for the money. The CTS-V is just plain ugly IMO. I haven't heard great things about the tranny as well. But, I am biased and love the M3. I don't think you can get a better car at this price point.

C63 black edition. Itll make up more than enough for the compromises on your list.
