2015 Z06 Pricing

Just saw that the new Z06 will come in at $78,995 next year (up from $77,590). The convertible will be priced at $83,995.

This will be a game changer.

Sources: Fox; Chevrolet.

This car costing only $79k (no option car) will be by far the best bang for buck car ever IMO. I'm sure a fully optioned car will be will over $100k but its nice to know its starting out very affordable for what you're getting

0-60 in less than 3 sec for an $80k car is bargain of the century.

It will not do 0-60 in under 3 seconds. No amount of streetable power can accomplish this without AWD. You simply can't get enough power to the ground in 1st gear. Even the 707hp Dodge Challenger and Charger Hellcats are 3.5 to 60. My guess is that it will be 3.3-3.5 with a good launch. Now, once rolling, it is a different ball game entirely.

I don't think the Dodge Charger Hellcat, whatever it is, is even in the same league as the new Z06. They were designed for different purposes: one being built to claim the title of most powerful production sedan; and the most affordable, track-ready supercar destroyer in production (to some extent obviously). This car has been made to run against the 458 and the like.

With the above in mind, I think the zero-to-sixty will be lightning quick, but will obviously not be the fastest out of its peers (thinking Lambo Huracan here) - but again, that's not the point of this car.

I know. There are some threads already on this subject of price.

This is a great competition for GTR. Right now there are some brand new GTR's being clearanced for close to 80k. Heavier car, slightly less hp, but you do get AWD.

But no manual option which is why I don't even consider GTRs and I know a few others that feel the same way. They are great cars but unfortunely not in my list, don't think Nissan cares though lol.

Tell that to Mclaren P1 - 2.6s. Even 650s hits that mark in 3s flat

Ok. I stand corrected. I was thinking more along the lines of reasonably "normal" cars including your garden variety exotics like Lambo and Ferrari. A 1.2M ultra-exotic that you can't even buy because they are all pre-sold is not what I was referring to.

Thing is going to be ridiculous. Want one, bad.

Z07 pack at $8k looks to be a worthy addition, but I'd even skip the CCB's. Want the aero and cup tires though.

Cliche at this point I know, but an incredible amount of car for the money. Easy to spec an M4 to this price.

Probably 458 Speciale level performance for <$90k? WOW. Bravo Corvette.

the Z07 Performance Package — which comes with Brembo carbon ceramic-matrix brake rotors, adjustable aerodynamic parts on the front and back and Michelin Pilot Super Sport Cup tires — tacks on $7,995.

(Of course, wonder when the first opportunity will be to actually acquire one at list...)

Amazing price, but unless you've already got an order in, you can't buy one until at least March 2015. And the used ones will be going for at least $120k, IMO.

Mid-engine & rearward weight dist... Wish it could (I'm a Vette guy my whole life), but it's just has too much TQ to do it on streeties, in stock suspension config.

I have *a few* on order @ list. I saw this coming long ago & placed some deposits. I was the first to do it @ this major Vette allocation dealer...
