No.... Just have a chat with your SA and tell him you are doing it and see what he says... Exhausts (cat back) do not avoid warranties.

iv'e made my executive decision:

As much as I love the E92 M3, I am going to go with a Used 2007 M6 Convertible I found on autotrader. I couldn't resist the 500HP F1 inspired V10.

Great choice, enjoy, but that V10 is carrying a lot of weight around. Don't be surprised when an M3 coupe runs away from you.

That V10 doesn't have anything in common with an actual F1 V10, just marketing.

its still does a 4.8 60, which is good enough for me. That added weight will be forgiven by the amazing v10 growl with the top down.

Can't go wrong here. But for the peace of mind, I'd go with the M3. Especially if you are getting the DCT tranny.

nice video Apex. That exhaust mod made the M6 sound like an exotic Ferarri.

Thanks! The car sounds much better in person. Check out this vid of a M6 vs M3:

If I needed a street car that would be run on the track too I would grab the M3. For me the M6 is the street car and my Pcar is the track meister.

I am truly unbiased (well i guess i own a old ass m3 which holds no real comparison to the new one, so does it count) but if i had to pick between the m3 and the m6, for me it would be really easy. If you get over the fact that the m6's exhaust note is god sneezing, the m3 is far better. Its got the better tranny, its more nimble, more comfortable just as high tech and in my oppinion just as good looking. ( but i think the 6 series is butt ugly )

go for the new m3, nothing beats a new car, except for a much faster used car, which the m6 is not.

Define fast. To compare a m3 to m6 in straightline speed is absurd. The M6 is in another league as seen in the above vid. IMO the M6 is quick (60-130mph= 9.8 sec.) a Promotive PCar (60-130mph =4.5 sec.) is fast. (Stock e92 M3 60-130 mph=12.9 sec.)

i'm mad excited. she's coming in April.

I really dont race much although if see a car I like on the highway (i have a mental list of noteworthy cars). When you drive an M6, in the back of your mind you know you own one of the faster production cars on the Road....BMW's Super Car. With a press of a button you have 500HP and can virtually outrun anything that speeds up beside you, and in on my morning commute, theres definitley an abudance of noteworthy cars.
