Power steering upgrades?
My power steering pump is on its way out. I'm wondering whether to replace with an identical pump and whether anything not-too-drastic can be done to keep it cooler. The car is mostly street, with some occassional track use.
I did some searching and read that the GT4 pump doesn't help if you don't fix the airflow problem. I saw the post about VS Motorsports' scoop, which they said didn't meet their expectaions. Has anyone found a better solution, or should I just roll the dice again with the stock unit?

Check this out...
http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=987446 I think frequent fluid level checks and flushing is needed at a minimum. You tie the sock on the reservoir, the fluid boils out and then you don't check it. From what I've seen, the OEM Pentosin fluid will boil and get frothy when hot and then you have less and less fluid as it keeps boiling out and evaporating. Thus leading to failure. But the aluminum reservoir should help shed some heat. I'd say add a bigger cooler but space may be hard to find.
