Feel free to pm me and I can get you the contact information. I joined up in the fall but did not actually get to a meet given the timing/location and putting my E93 for the winter. There are still a couple of things planned in the near future.
I been on and off a lot TDY lately, and head out again on Monday, but can get you the information.

I'm in the same boat. I thought all my work was done but USAA emailed me saying I have to call them to finalize the loan when there shoudln't be anything left to do. Oh well, hopefully this won't put anything behind. Just to be safe though I'm not registering the car until the 15th.
I know you can get some tires locally, wheels might be a problem. Vredestein makes some goos winter tires. I rodered a wheel/tire combo from Tire Rack. Ben was great to deal with and made everything super smooth. I'm not sure they could get you a set in time but it's worth a shot. |

Yeah I still have to do the registration but I can't until the insurance kicks in on the 14th.
What tax free paperwork did you have to do? Last edited by quality_sound; 05-07-2011 at 04:12 PM.. |

Weird. Not sure why they'd have to do all that since it's not required. For it to be tax free (for CA at least) you just can't register it in the state for 90 days after purchase. The US can't collect import taxes unless you bring it into the US within 140 days. Neither will apply to me.
Or this is something totally different. I'll ask my CA about it. Maybe that's why they need the 10 days after payment is made to finish the paperwork. |

What really sucked was having the car paid for, but waiting for the paperwork to process to permit it to be picked up. It ended being ten days. Then again, it sucked less than having it stored for the winter....

Was it ten calendar days or ten business days? The check showed up (finally) on the 8th so I think my delivery date is going to get pushed back a few days.

If I remeber correctly is was quoted at business days, but boiled down to about a week in reality.
I think I even pushed it back a day because of work.
