Which carmaker is #1 in quality in Germany? Autobild has the data.

German Car Magazine Autobild Ranks Hyundai #1 In Quality

"Hyundai edged out BMW and Audi in leading German car magazine Autobild’s annual quality survey. Hyundai also beat out Toyota, long considered the benchmark for quality and reliability.

Using owner feedback, recall information and data from Germany’s well known TUV technical inspection agency, the magazine’s yearly report is held in high regard in Europe."

Wow. Gotta give credit where credit is due. Congratulations to the fellas in charge at Hyundai for steering the company in the right direction.

Thats a gut shot if I ever saw one. I mean, props to them they really stepped their game up. But it still hurts for BMW.

Hyundai is the new Lexus. Lexus as of right now is taking a back seat to the Korean automaker when it comes to obtainable products for the masses.

Not sure that their definition of "quality" and mine are the same. But congrats to Hyundai nonetheless.

Quality bang for the price...lets be honest Bmw are not the most reliable cars and the price they ask for can make some cringe.....I see Ford and Hyundai as the best cars for now. Quality is not Nappa leather or leather from a cow that ate only bio food and drank red wine.....quality is will this car last without major recalls and 200K miles or km without needing valve adjustements etc.

I've said it years ago and I will say it again here: Hyundai will be the next Toyota and possibly even bigger. It will basically be one of the largest, if not THE largest auto maker in the world. Just look at how far it's come. A few years ago most of us wouldn't even consider a Hyundai. Nowadays many of us would actually consider buying a Hyundai. Funny how things have changed.

The German result seems to confirm the trend we've seen in US surveys: Hyundai have steadily made impressive gains in quality and dependability over the past few years. I'd have no reservations in considering a Hyundai, if I were in shopping for cars in their markets. The Genesis looks good, the Coupe in particular. From what I can see, the Equus will offer luxury and amenities beyond Toyota, and not too far off from Lexus. And they will be doing it without a separate prestige nameplate, which says a lot about how far Asian brands have come.

I sure won't mind driving one only if they stop stealing other car's style. I remember the Genesis coupe looks exactly like a G37.
