New Daily Driver
Sold my 2011 F150 and I needed to get a new everyday driver for work & wintertime.Last Friday I picked up a 2014 Audi SQ5 which is the S version of the Q5 with with the 354 horsepower supercharged 3.0l V6 & 8 speed auto.It drives like a tall S4 with great handling for an SUV and is quite quick with a claimed 0-100 time of 5.3 seconds.Audi managed to upgrade the brake package with 380mm front rotors & huge calipers and actually provided an exhaust with switchable baffles. So far I am quite impressed with the job that has done in bringing this to our market. It looks like it should be decent on fuel with its 1st 600 kms netting an average of 9.8 l/100 km at highway speeds.

Nope not for towing.Part of the reason for going this direction is that I have something that is more useable in the City than an F150 was which I have been driving various ones since 2003 as my daily work vehicle. This opens for my secondary/playcar to be much less practical than a M3.I am due for a change next spring as my present E92 M3 will be 3 years old & I have owned E92 M3's for 6 years which is longest that I have ever driven 1 model of car in the 43 years that I have been driving. There are a few options that I am looking at but I am pretty sure it will be a 2 seater more track focused car.

Audi has not even listed the SQ5 on their website and I discovered it on my Autoquote at work a couple of weeks ago.Sold my F150 and discovered that this was in Halifax in dealer stock so I bought it and arrived at my dealer in 10 days and got it last Friday.I drove it back to Toronto and am really quite impressed with it and think it will fit its intended need quite well.

Audi Midtown Toronto have 6 came in last week, 3 were pre-sold and 3 are for showroom purpose and obviously available for sale.
I am also thinking of getting one for my winter dd but I want to see the actual vehicle before doing it, I guess I will check it out sometimes this month. |

So am I I have a few different directions that I am thinking of,but it might just come down to a business decision of which car it will be.A GT3 is at the top of the list and I do have an order spot for spring 2014 delivery so time will tell! The last time I had a GT3RS at home my wife asked whose POS was it

I made the mistake of doing a session in a friends GT3RS and I am now screwed for life I found the car to be so intuitive to drive and its limits so high that if I can make it happen that is my 1st choice for the next car. They are pretty awesome for sure!

The new SQ5 is nice - saw one a couple of weeks ago. A friend of mine traded his wife's Q5 in for one to go along with his RS5. She hated the Q5 so I certainly hope she likes this one! Just a little too small for me personally.
