Dyno E92 M3 2009 12/19/09
What's up guys? My brother convinced me to go to the dyno with him to dyno his 135. He ended up getting 385 WHP and 395 torque. After some time he finally convinced me to dyno the M. These are the results:
All I have is AA's filter so I don't think it's bad for a base run before I begin to mod it. When I get to the office I will make real scans. Questions/comments/concerns are all welcome. I will also upload the videos tomorrow. Last edited by chungdae; 12-20-2009 at 08:04 AM.. |

Looks about right for a stock (w/ filter) M3 on a dynojet.
Dyno DB: http://bmw.pencilgeek.org/DynoDB.html A few bolt on mods (full catless exhaust, tune, pulley), you could get her up to 380+whp. And your brother's 135 torque number should be a lot higher. |

You sure your brother's torque wasn't 395?
Like other's have said, your dyno's about expected for stock.

Let me get this straight... You are swapping out parts designed by some of the top engineers in the world because some guys sponsored by a company told you it's "better??" But when you ask the same guy about tracking, "oh no, I have a kid now" or "I just detailed my car." or "i just got new tires."

Are you saying he was having trouble with traction on a dynojet?
Either something is broken on his car or on the dyno, because it takes about 800+lb-ft of torque to really spin the wheels on a dyno.
