Dealer fixed recurring DCT issue
I was getting the infamous "Warning, Transmission setting P may not be available, contact BMW..." so I took it to the dealer. They did a PUMA case on it and they ended up fixing it to my surprise. Supposedly, it is an electrical glitch in the shift lever assembly. I took advantage and had the infamous no changing the DCT transmission oil talk and it took me a couple of follow up emails with the bulletin numbers (thanks m3post.com) to convince them though. If anyone else is having the annoying DCT message show up, I would encourage you to take it to the dealer 'cause there is a fix for that.

1000 miles and no issues whatsoever. Loving this car! Starting to feel anxiety about taking her in for the 1200 mile service though. Don't want the dealer to screw anything up.

http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...75#post3010275 My dealer narrowed it to a glitch in the computer that is returning a faulty transmission solenoid that is not faulty. Per my dealer (and a few other posts), the fix will be part of the 1st SW update due in Sept. |
