I was originally going to write this in a PM but OP never PMed so please feel free to delete this if offer break downs are not allowed in replies….
I understand the MSRP is 71K but that does not mean it is what you paid or what the car is worth.... Invoice Price Lists Base USA 52,900 Training 180 DCT 2,640 Prem 1,800 Tech 2,960 Destination 825 Gas Tax 1,300 = 63,905 (not including other fees, taxes etc I know) Now everyone knows a car lose value the moment you drive off the lot (up to 20% in the first year) Therefore your offer of 61,500 pretty fair (you are saving buyer about 2K and they dont have to pay dealer fees but still have to pay taxes). But then again there are still 2009s on the lot and if you pay cash you get $4,500 off so for your car it would be 59,405 Now since the actual value of the car excludes Training, Destination and Gas Tax the real cost of the car is Base USA 52,900 DCT 2,640 Prem 1,800 Tech 2960 = 60,300 So the car itself is worth 60.3K minus depreciation. Now lets say the car lost 5% on depreciation (more realistically 10%) that is 3,015. So roughly 57K…. I will offer you 55K Cash for the car if it has CF Roof, and 52.5K if it has Sunroof (Buyer's Market). Let me know, also members if you don’t agree with my break down feel free to comment, I do not mind the feedback/criticism

2) If you are going to compare apples to apples, at least calculate the invoice of my car RIGHT. That's where the problem is. Do you even know what options this car has? I am the seller, I have to be nice, so here you go: Here is the INVOICE price break down for you. All taken from wholesale pricing sheet from Bmw. Base USA 53,220 (Effective March 1, 2009) DCT 2,640 PREM 1,820 TECH 2,960 PREM SOUND 1,730 PARK DISTANCE 320 HEATED SEATS 455 IPOD & USB 365 All this comes to: 63,510 which DOESNT include the Destination, Guzzler, Training. ADD destination, guzzler and training.. throw in the floor mats.. we are at 66,000 plus tax, tags and fees... this is the INVOICE pricing, the invoice pricing you posted didn't apply to my car. You were missing options. In addition, the FULL clear bra was applied the same day I took the delivery (more details below).. if you don't want it, not a problem, you don't have to get it.. I will take $1000 off and eat the cost. That should end the discussion about the price. As a side note, this car was not a dealer demo. It was ordered by me in July '09 and delivered by mid-August '09 with 4 miles making sure no-one took the car above 4-5k RPM. I didn't even let the dealer wash the car before the delivery.. Custom Ventureshield clear bra was applied at around 20 miles by the BEST installer (Entire hood, entire fenders, headlights, bumper, basically everything until the doors are covered as well as lots of custom pieces around the car such as a-pillars, rocker panels, door handles, trunk loading area, etc) Lot of m3 owners care about their car, I think this is one of the most important option/mod on the car. Best Regards, PS: As far as the pictures go, I will be posting them in a day or so. I apologize for the delay. Last edited by memo; 11-01-2009 at 06:22 AM.. |

LMAO . . . gotta love the table-turn with an offended low-ball offerer.
Memo, Good luck with the sale. That's a very good and fair deal. I have to compliment you on how you handled this. Rather than acting insulted and hurling childish insults, you responded with class and facts.

The Car Is Sold
The car has been sold to me. I picked it up from Memo yeterday in VA and drove it back to Cincinnati today. The car is amazing - but one could already assume that, since it is an M3.
What everyone should be aware of is the integrity and ease in dealing with Memo. Not only did I get a great car, but I also had a great experience! Memo is 1st class all the way (look at how he dealt with the low-ballers in this thread, as an example). It couldn't have been any easier. I flew in to DC, he offered to pick me up at the airport (I declined, since there was a shuttle to the Marriott and I didn't want to impose), and then he and a friend deliverd the car to me at the Marriott. He came with all the necessary documents and then walked me through some of the basic features of the car. If anyone is thinking about buying a car from him now or in the future, I would highly recommend him. I'd be more than happy to provide a personal reference and speak with the prospective buyer. I'm able to be reached at my office M-F, 513-333-0014. The car was in meticulous condition. The break-in procedure was followed to the letter. The transaction went off flawlessly. THANKS MEMO! Here is a picture we took on my iphone at the delivery: |
