somewhat off topic but...

wondering if anyone else experiences back pain more frequently with leather seats than cloth seats. my back / leg starts hurting whenever i drive my cars with leather seats but i have no problems in my car with cloth seats. many factors to consider but was wondering if it could be how the leather holds / shapes the cushioning material underneath it that is causing a pain in the arse? (pun intended)

That seems highly unlikely. The leather is too pliable to give much forming to the cushioning. Likely it is the inherent shape of the seats themselves that is causing you issues.

I don't get it. It would be different if it were alcantara and cloth, but its not.

im a fan of cloth and think it looks great in the e46 but i think the pattern/ shape where the cloth on the lumbar and upper portion of the seat just looks awkward, imo bmw could have done a better job.

wish our m3 seats had those shoulder bolsters, was missing them during my auto-x.

anyways, I have leather because I didn't have choice but would of ordered cloth. GTI like plaid would of been killer like someone else mentioned, also like how how all the cloth people are 6MT

As I am a specialist of physical therapy, I think cloth seats are firmer than leather, therefore offer you better support for your back... just a thought...

IMO you miss the point of having a M3 I am afraid. But that's cool if leather is that important to you.

took delivery of my car early this month and I absolutely LOVE the interior! a friend of mine got a SG/Black Novillo coupe around the same time and though I like the leather as well, the cloth really helps make the interior feel more sporty and "special" - my second choice was FR non-extended, but I decided that at my ripe old age of 27 it was a bit much for a white sedan

You can't get speed cloth in an e93 can you? I've searched high and low and can't find an answer. On BMW's website you don't get an option for it either.

I'm still undecided about the color for me E90 but was leaning towards speed cloth. I don't need seat heaters and would like to put the extra $1g towards an exhaust....

Question is this...will speed cloth be too dark for a Space Gray E90 with no sunroof and tint? If so, what color would look best?

I've looked at thousands of photos but first hand is best.

Thanks!!

I dont have speed cloth but I thought in real life it is more dark gray? also what interior trim do you want to get? aluminum trim would lighten things up a bit

Yeah i'd love to see it but there is one dealer here and he has 1 E92 with leather. Not too many M3's in Nashville but i'm going to post something in another area asking. I love the carbon trim but at the end of the day it doesn't matter that much.

Thanks!
