Pagid RS 19 Yellow Brake Pads which cost around $800 all around or Hawk HP Plus Race brake pads for the front axle and ATE Original PremiumOne Pads for the rear pads which all toghether would cost around $200 all around im sure there more brake pads im not thinking of but i couldnt find that many online help and input appreciated..

The stock ones are on par with the best non-race pads, and the race pads like the RS-19's are overkill (and grabby and noisy) unless you're on the track. Personally, unless I was headed for the track, I'd stay with the stock pads. In fact, that's exactly what I did. |

i just got my rotors and pads replaced by bmw. ive been going to the canyons and the brakes are fading still and not performing like when i first got them, which would take forever to fade..
with the changing of the pads, i am also installing UUC Brake lines and Using Motul 600 brake fluid..

Another choice is the Ferodo DS2500 pad - it's a lightweight track pad that might work without the aggro that comes with a full race compound. Last edited by JAJ; 08-09-2009 at 12:57 PM.. |

PF-Zs are my choice for a street pad over the factory pads. I ran the PF-01s on my e46 for track days and was awesomely impressed. I've run several other brands with substandard results. You can't beat Performance Friction.
Here's the rub. They're not available for our cars, yet. James Clay at Bimmerworld is saying they'll be here soon. |

Ferodo DS2500 gets my vote.
First thing I did was get SS lines, upgrade to RBF 600 brake fluid and add the Ferodos at all four corners. Great pads for daily use and the odd track day. They need to be bedded in properly to avoid them from becoming noisy.
