Off Topic Request: Car Transport Company
I need to get a Toyota SUV transported from the northern Virginia area to the Boston area.
Does anybody know of or have experience with a carrier that would be suitable? I would prefer to work with the carrier directly instead of going through a broker. Thanks Wally |

I shipped my E93 from Seattle to New Jersey with DAS for a little over $800 and it came within a week unscathed. I strongly recommend them.

Times have changed. I contacted DAS today and they provided me with a quote.
They want $1030 to transport a 1994 Toyota 4-runner (a medium sized SUV) from the the northern Virginia area to the Boston area (a distance of 430 miles). Needless to say, we will be driving the Toyota, a real hassle, to Boston and flying back. Thanks for the responses. |

There must be more to it than just mileage. I had a car transported by DAS last year from California to South Carolina for just a little over $1000.

I did a quick google and found several third party quote companies...put in my info and received several quotes in the $5-600 range from SC to Kansas; all open carriers. Sounds high.
