For the A7 package, can I run 18x9 all around? Will the 235/40/18 Blizzaks give any rim protection for this size?

I ask because on the Tire Rack website, 18x9 is cheaper than 18x8.

Hey Ben --

I thought I heard or read somewhere that the A7 wheels are being discontinued? Is that true?

I have an 011 E92 with ZCP...Looking to run 18's winter set all around if that will work on ZCP..I might want to just put snows on my current wheels/tpms as it is a lease vehicle that will be returned at lease end.

PM me options as they become available please. Very limited selection on the .com right now (as I expected). I've had very good luck with Dunlop WS 3D on previous RWD and AWD vehicles.

THX!

The A7 is not discontinued in general, although it looks like the 18x9 that some had used for staggered snow packages is discontinued. 18x8 is not listed as discontinued, so unless I hear differently those will continue for the foreseeable future.

There are still a few 18x9 left, but once those are gone I do not expect more.

Wintersport 3D is available in 18" snow sizes 235/40R18 and 245/40R18.

Ben, are the 18x9s all gone?

Also, any idea when the blacks will be back in stock?

Hi Ben,

Had a good experience buying from tirerack before, planning on purchasing again from you.

Do you know when the winter tires should start becoming more available?

I am looking for performance winter tires in the following sizes:

- 235 / 35 R19 (2 fronts)
- 255 / 35 R19 (2 rears)

EDIT: These would be for the 19 inch Avant Garde ZCP replicas,

Front Wheel Size:19x9 ET18
Rear Wheel Size:19x10 ET25

If you'd recommend different tire sizes, please let me know.

Thanks!

Would it be okay to put 235 45 18s on stock 18"s (square setup with two sets of front rims) ? I want to put blizzaks but there isn't 235 40 18s blizzaks on tirerack.com. (LM60)

I am unsure if I will have to drive further than a mile round trip in the winter on a daily basis
but if I have to I found sets of the replica rims for a nice price anything wrong with running replica m3,5,6 replica 18"s with a set of blizzaks on them ? I ordered the car with the competition package I am assuming there is no clearance issues though as far as the wheelhub/brake calipers ?

It's already snowing in the mountains here so I'm starting to think about a winter wheel/tire package. Anyone have info on the Alpin PA4? Wintersport 4D? It looks like Tire Rack put the correct PA4 photo up and they look good but sizes are certainly limited. I guess 245/40/18 square would work.

What's the scoop with wheel availability on Tire Rack? The winter tire package thingy says there are zero wheel options for E90 M3. hmmm

Just received winter set-up for M being delivered next month

Hi;
I bought Tire Rack's recommendation of the A7 rims (staggered 18x8 and 18x9) and Dunlop 3D's (235 and 255). 18" for the snows. My first rear-wheel drive in years. I hope advances in traction and tire tech help.
M3 scheduled for delivery Oct 8th @ the Welt (19" summer tires).
Getting very exciting!

OK, so after looking at ALL these threads. I need to pull the trigger. Jut not sure which one. Ordering winter wheels for 2011 M3 sedan ZCP Space Grey

Wheels: Sports Edition A7 in black, 18 inch: are these available? Should I go staggered or same size? What are my other options like Breyton wheels??

Tires: What are the most cost effective tires. I used to have the Michelin Blizzak on the 540 and they were great.

Center Cap - BMW

@tirerack guys - What would be the total cost for this??

Thanks,
Dave

Was very hard for me to find pictures of anyone else who had run a square setup of 18s; VMR no longer makes the right offset which was pretty frustrating as I had my mind set on some CSLs. Jurrian @ **********s helped hook me up with a set of 18x8.5" ET20 Miro 111s in Matte Black which look fantastic (in the box anyway)! I'll be running 245/40 Michelin PA3s on all corners.

Will post pics of them on the car in November/when it gets cold, but hopefully this will make known another decent-looking 18" square option for the M3. I ran the Sport Edition A7/ASA JH3 wheels on my previous 2 cars, but could not stand the thought of putting them on the M.

Those wheels look great. Do those wheels require any spacers or anything special to fit the M3?

I was actually going to ask the same thing. I have a set of Dunlop 3D in 245/40/18 from my previous car and was wondering if these would fit (with 8.5" diameter wheels) on the M3/ZCP and clear the brakes. I assume from the previous post that 8.5 inch wheels are the correct diameter for these tires.
Anybody have any experience with this setup?
thanks

Nice. Did you get the wheels yet? What else did you order from them (tires, TMPS?). How much did it cost you?

I kinda like the F10 replica, 18"

I just received my F10 M5 reps (low pressure cast by Eurosport) and they look great. 18x8 et20 and I'll be putting Michelin PA4 on them 245/40 all around. I wanted to do the BMW oem winter set but that runs $3k and I don't like the idea of 235s on the M. This set up will cost me $1800 (no TPMS). I'll have tires on next week and can post pics then.
